hey yall just felt like sharing my story cuz I love to read your stories. So basically most of my ocd comes from all of the pets I own. I love them so much so it causes me to do obsessive things because I want to keep them safe. When I get home from school before getting anywhere near my pets I have to wash my hands extremely well because I am... by donaldk

I started having a lot of obsessed thoughts regarding how emotions have been discovered to be chemical signals in the brain after reading a scientific article. I have gotten so obsessed that now I think I'm chemical XD and my emotions don't exist lol. I usually never obsess so much lol. If anyone else has had obsessive thoughts recently feel... by Voltage91

I fear this may dive me mad so I've decided to just vent out on here (feel free to offer advise, share experiences etc.). I'm trying something new, I'm going to give myself a... by aNOTfox

Hi everyone, To start off I have always had some form of mild ocd. Touching, counting or intrusive thoughts. Fortunately all of the above have not been an issue in years. That being said, I recently over the last few months for some reason keep seeing my nose in my line of sight and it's driving me nuts! I have had something similar to this... by Info_please

I was wondering if anyone has a similar problem with their clothes. I have this weird thing about wearing and washing my nice outfits. I literally won't wear any of my good clothes, because I get paranoid that they will become dirty or not look as nice as they once did. It's so silly, because there is no reason to buy expensive clothes, if I'm... by chris87

Every second everyday regardless of where I am I am terrified of something. When I'm at home I am terrified of chemicals. My father does so much renovation and he's always painting something and I am worried I'll breath in toxins, or get paint on me that will seep into my skin, if it's on my hands I will touch my pets and my pets will then consume... by donaldk

I've been through so many struggles with my OCD. I'm sure you all have been through similar things. Anyway, because of my suffering, I find that I'm increasingly unable to relate to other people. While other people are sitting down, talking, and pretending everything is alright, I'm wondering how they are able to do that. I have such a dark... by saa

I hate seeing myself, in the mirror and in pictures....even my reflection off glass or cars (even tho the windows distort your own image) I freak out if people try to take my picture. I feel like its one of the worst things in the world and is so uncomfortable. I feel like I'm ugly and I feel like I'm always going to be alone. This sucks. by MFDunn

Advice please. I have started a new ritual of having to have a hot bubble bath BEFORE I clean so that I am clean before I clean the house. Otherwise I am afraid that I may be dirty when I start cleaning and picking up things. So I have to take a long soak before I do the cleaning so that I do not contaminate the cleaning cloths etc. I... by Eustacia

My unwanted thoughts and images started as a teenager in church. Church was a very serious affair in my family and I took it seriously at that age. But, during sermons, I would have really blasphemous thoughts. I remember panicking about it and having to pray profusely. Luckily, as I grew up and less religious these thoughts disappeared. ... by ImNotMyIllness

From around November to early December last year, I've been under this crazy delusion that I was a pedophile, and that I molested several kids in the past. I'm all over it now, but wasn't fun. I was feeling suicidal, I felt terrible about myself, I got banned from my old school and got involved with the police, and worst of all, nobody... by yesman

Hey, When I have these intrusive thoughts, my facional expression is totally different, when I walk by people, I look at them like i'm about to die or something. I can't help but I always look like that :/ And when people get gifts.. I'm always happy for them, but I have a jealous face ::(: Because I'm scared that I look like that, it will... by Falkor

Well, maybe almost all my life but was diagnosed in high school. Anyway, up until two years ago I could pretty much deal with it. However, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure (also have... by Griff40

I have had a serious issue with laundry since going back to July--it has really consumed my life horribly and I'm not sure what to do about it. I won't go into all of the specifics, but I have a new worry over the past few weeks and I just wanted to see if anyone has dealt with this or what you think of this! The other day I saw a piece of... by katlac32

I am not overly OCD, but I do possess some attributes, so you might call me a pseud-OCDer.;) Anyway, I just wanted to mention a few of my more obsessive interests, particularly things which I own. Probably the most precious article of inanimacy I own is my engagement ring, given to me by my fiance.:) Second to that is my makeup, don't touch my... by Kat

I am currently dealing with purely obsessional OCD focused on obsessing over the fact that I can't stop obsessing which will lead to endless ruminations. I know this sounds confusing but it is thoroughly anxiety provoking to me as I am fearing that I may lose control over my mind and end up a dysfunctional person in a mental hospital. This is how... by ocme

Hello to everyone, I am new here although I have been reading these boards for the past few months now. I joined so that I could post a question for which I desperately need some feedback on. I could really use some advice regarding the best way to treat a sensorimotor obsession with breathing. It is impacting my life at this point. It started... by ocme
