Have yet another headache today, it's so gloomy outside... it's been raining here so often here lately. Suggested to my mother that I get a solar lamp cause I believe the weather has some affect on my moods and my step father of course had something negative to say about it..... anything I suggest he tends to beat it down. Cause in his mind, "he's always right and he believes it'll cause a fire hazard in my bedroom." I'm so tired of having these headaches and I heard they work. Not sure what to do about this. :(
I'm not sure that you can really fight your stepfather, and he doesn't sound like the approachable type. If you have the money, can you buy one yourself? I don't even know how much one of those things would even cost.

Random thoughts for the night:

- It's so cold.
- This weather is insane. I hate it.
- I don't want to be out of the house tomorrow, but alas I have to. I knew I should've rescheduled that appointment.
- It's coooooold.
- I started biting my nails again. Yay.
- I probably should go to bed soon since I have to get up early tomorrow.
- Did I mention how cold it was?

My computer is sick.

I may have to shoot it.
What's wrong? In the last 30 minutes my computer seems to have been attacked by adware.

Brr! Keep warm, Phoenixx.

My brother used to bite his nails heaps when he was younger to the point of hangnails everywhere and even blood. I can't remember how he got over that but I can ask if you like. I hope yours is not so bad and it's just a light habitual thing.

^ Put extra blankets on my bed tonight to keep me warm. Plus I have my cat.

Yeah I used to bite my nails a lot too, to the point where I'd have hangnails, but very rarely blood. I'm not as bad as I used to be, but sometimes I find the habit coming back every so often, usually around this time of year when I'm bored and when I'm stressed.

You have a cat that sleeps with you? Jealous. :shyness: My old cat would but my current one doesn't like me as much!

Hopefully it's just a phase, then. The fact that you've noticed it is a good sign.

I can't find the motivation to go on. I'm fighting for the faintest chance that I may someday, maybe, live a minimal and basic life.

And I'm just not strong enough to keep up the effort. I feel like a broken person, unfit for this world.

Hang in there, Puma.

I remember once at a therapy session I told my therapist that I didn't have any motivation. (I can't remember everything was said so bare with me) After a little talking she told me that I did. She said that if I didn't I would probably never get out of bed.

I don't know what your current situation is, whether or not you were typing that in bed or not. But maybe this will help some.

I really can relate to how you feel (although most of us here probably can). I'm sorry.

I neglected my exercise routine for almost 3 weeks due to holiday activities and procrastination. As a result, I'm finding my usual workout a bit more challenging and I can't do as many reps of things like pushups and squats. Sad, but lesson learned: don't let that much time go by.

At least I've resumed at all; some people drift away from regular exercise for much longer and lose all their fitness. I did that before and it was so discouraging to have to start over.

I'm going to guard my fitness level like a rare diamond.

Yep. The Child That Holds Us Back : zenhabits

That blog has helped me so much with its simple, no-BS tips and inspiration. I've made so many changes in my life, and a good part of it has to do with encouragement and advice from that blog.

There are a lot of self-help sites out there, and a lot of them sound profound when they're really silly and unhelpful. But zenhabits has real advice that, in my experience, works.

I mean, you can always forego the self-help and figure things out for yourself. But there are others who have done the legwork and I see no shame in adopting their strategies if you find they work for you, too.

Hugs for you, buddy. Message me if you need to talk to someone.

I had four cats on the bed last night. I'd gladly ship one to you. What color do you prefer?
I typically have 3 on my bed, and normally that's fine.

But.

After I spent nearly a week away recently, they seem to be a bit insecure and clingy. I keep waking up in the middle of the night with Ollie on my face, either kneading my lips or just trying to sleep there.

lol! I guess I should be thankful that my old man cat just stretches out on my pillow and leaves me with a little corner to sleep on.
