Nooooooo!!! :crying:

You're both so important to the health of this community. The kindness, positivity, and support you show to everyone is inspirational and much appreciated. I'm sure you've both helped a lot of people in ways you don't even know. If you do go, even for a little while, you will be missed.

Wow, thank you. I'll stay if you stay, cuz. ;)

I don't really like his movies that much, but I feel really bad for what happened to Michael Bay on the Sumsung conference at CES.

He just completely froze. Must've been awful.

So I did lumosity training today. I screwed up on some math reasoning test so that brought my score down. I was so disappointed since I scored so much higher last time. Lumosity training is causing me more stress than expected. It felt like I'm taking tests all over again in high school. I feel the self-created pressure to ace these tests and score as high as possible. I used to beat myself up so much if I don't score as high as I would like.

Lumosity is about exercising your brain, it's not a competition :p. The goal is to improve your cognitive skills over a moderately long period of time, even though your progress might not represent a perfect linear transformation (some days will feel harder due to tiredness or just bad luck). Just try to remind yourself that what matters at the end of the day is not your score, but the very fact that you are challenging your brain and developing your skills. Keep it up!

I know its weird question, but are there any Italians here? I just realised I haven't met any Italians on the internet so just wondering.

Seemingly random but not really random because I'm reading a book that prompted the thought, but... it occurred to me that I've never been to a funeral. A good thing, I suppose. I'll get my chance someday, haha. I just find it's hard to relate completely when I read or hear about them because I've never had to attend one.

My grandmother died last year, but there was no funeral for her; my grandfather just wanted a small private memorial service or something. Not sure what to make of that, I guess he had the right. At the time I wasn't on speaking terms with him, and after we sort of reconciled, my grandmother's death was never mentioned...

Just when I thought it was going to be a peaceful, relaxing day at home....

The more I stay here, the more aggravated I get. This is pretty much the reason why I haven't really been home all week, or when I am I'm only here for a few hours and then I go out and don't come back until it's uber late. The late hours of the night when everyone is sleeping is the only quiet time I get anymore.

I just bought some milk to make mashed potatoes only to find out that it's horribly spoiled. The date is February 15th. This is just so frustrating, can anyone explain why this keeps happening to me? Now I'll have to go back there to ask for a refund, which is so scary you know..

I meant the expiry date, and it was Feb 15, 2014. I went to the grocery store and they gave me another milk, the manager didn't even ask me for my receipt or anything at all so that was nicer than I expected.

There is an upcoming Public Speaking course on EdX. I thought about taking it - however, I looked at the syllabus and didn't have a good feel about it. I took a similar Speech class before where I had to make video recordings of myself. I'm not sure if Public Speaking is what I'm looking for because my goal for the time being is to conquer minor social situations. You know, the encounter with the cashier, the trip to the bank, standing in line with a whole bunch of people, that stuff. Public speaking is an entirely different beast.

Yeah, I think food sold in supermarkets spoil faster in the winter because they turn on heaters (to make customers and employees feel comfortable) which amp up the temperatures and spoil some food. In fact, my bananas spoil much faster in the winter, with the heater on.

So sick of society treating me as if I have leprosy just because I am single.

Like without a "partner" I am only half a human being, not a whole one.
