Hey guys. I know I've been gone for a while, initially left because my life got busy, I was in a really good place, and figured it was time to move on and focus on other things. Things are still really well in my life, but recently I've been struggling with my depression and anxiety again. I finally decided to take the big step into going to... by Phoenixx

I've been having a lot of growing pains in my body but mostly my legs. The doctor won't prescribe anything only painkillers, because it's only growing pains. Sometimes my legs (well my whole body) hurts so much that I can't move. Three days ago I tried to change my sheets on my bed. But I pulled something in my calf and I felt it tug. Some... by PrincessKitty

(I did a little search for this prior to making this thread, sorry if it's a duplicate!) I'm just wondering if anyone else here is using Compassion Focused Therapy in their endeavors to cope with/overcome their issues? If so what are your experiences? What material have you read? Are you working with it by yourself, have a therapist... by NamiraWilhelm

This is something else I got in an email. For that reason, as before, I suppose it is not a breach of copyright. The information may well be common knowledge already. " Botanical Solutions For Anxiety And Depression Dr. Isaac Eliaz | Jan 14, 2014 | Comments 1 | by hoddesdon

I just found this site ( and it seems pretty nice for people suffering from depression or anxiety. Even having an account for a few hours can give many ideas about how to set goals, quests and gradually improve our mood. What did you guys think about it? I think most of those ideas can be also implemented with simple txt... by emptybench

Has anyone tried ACT therapy? If so, how did it go for you? I have never really tried any formal therapy, save for a bit of CBT which did not help at all. I am considering going to a new place if my insurance will pay and get ACT if they offer it. If not, then formal CBT. My current, and only, mental health facility only offers talk therapy and... by lyricalliaisons

Hi, I was just wondering is there anyone else out there who has social anxiety and is getting help for it/has had therapy before, and if so how are you finding it? I'm asking because I've been to see counsellors and a CBT therapist before and am going to start it again soon. I found that it didn't help that much when I was seeing a... by Satori_lotus

I thought it would be good thread to start. It doesn't have to be anything major, just whatever you are proud of doing, even though you were uncomfortable. I think it's important to take action to fight our fears, even if they are baby steps :) And of course I'll start :) Today I took a trip to the grocery store, and made sure to smile at... by tweetebird

There is an exercise thread, so I figured I'd take that a step further and create a fitness thread, where you can post your exercise activities if you wish, but also talk about your diet, weight loss/gain goals, and anything really related to overall well-being and fitness. How's a bout it? :) by Beatrice

Sometimes you reach a conclusion that therapists themselves are probably more insane than their victims.. I visit a therapist today, a new one. This time I did some thorough research before choosing one and this guy holds some genuine qualifications and reviews.. Especially that the past two I went to were messed up and made matters worse.. ... by Honda

Found this on Reddit, a guide on how to be more outgoing: How to be More Social and Outgoing - The Complete Guide A lot of the advice in it isn't that helpful for social phobia but some is, especially part two about self confidence. There's some conversation guides in it as well. by Cornersniper
