What were some of your horrible experences with "friends?"

I understand. With a house like that and a girl as nice as you, I would totally come over and spend time with you. :) Not that it's any consolation, but still.

Haha, thank you! I just wish I could find someone in my hemisphere who feels the same. :) Seriously, folks, I've got bonfires, lots of good movies, I can cook, and I'm surrounded by neat places to walk to. Someone be my friend!

Ugh.

It's sort of painful to rehash old memories...

~ had a friend in high-school who wanted me to sign up as a co-signer for a cell phone. I do not know why or even how that was approved but, it was. She then stopped talking to me and stopped paying the bill (ironically, she preferred talking to others including a guy that I really liked at the time with that cell phone that I'd gotten her.) I got stuck paying off a 300$ phone bill. She then harassed me when I shut down the service and broke into my locker and vandalized it with racial slurs.

~in middle school: had a group of friends from elementary school gang up against me with other classmates. They emptied my locker, threw all my possessions around the school and in the fields out behind the school and destroyed my final term projects for my English and science classes. When I went into the washroom to cry out my frustrations, they verbally harassed me in the washroom and threatened to beat me up. I was harassed and blackballed from any sort of social interaction the following year - to the point that they'd even refuse to acknowledge my existence in a sit down with a guidance counselor and principal.

(Teachers never really resolved issues then so, that was when I started getting terrible panic attacks and agoraphobia.) I skipped a lot of classes in middle school and switched many high schools as a result...

Ugh...depressing...

Reminds me of some guy in my grade 8 class. The bulling got so bad that he had switch classes. Everyone would always talk bad about his mom and one time someone punched him in the head for no reason. Another time, someone took his lunch (Beans) and poured it all over his jacket and bag. For some reason this guy made fun of me and even threw a rock at me once so I honestly never felt sorry for him.

Not really a horrible experience but one of my saddest memories was the moment I realized my closest friends weren't my friends anymore.

I had this group of 4 friends for almost 10 years and we were really close. To the point that we had no one closer to us outside of this group apart from family. Even after high school we were still hanging out together pretty often.

A lot happened during that time and we all grew apart a little. There were some misunderstandings and I made a lot of mistakes too, but I thought because of our history we would probably be tight even after we got old. So I kept my hopes up and tried to keep the friendship going.

But one day when I was trying to get everyone together for dinner they all said they were busy. Shortly after, I got a call from a waitress at a restaurant saying a customer forgot his cell phone and she dialed a random number on it which turned out to be mine. Then I heard my friend running back and picking up the cell phone, and in the background I heard the others as well. My friend, sounding pretty guilty, tried to make up some kind of lie on the spot but I told him not to worry about it.

This was years ago and I've met them a few times after. The saddest thing is that none of them really contact each other apart from random posts on facebook and stuff. I guess the group was falling apart, I was just the first one to be let go.

I'm sorry it happened.

I'm sorry you had such bad experiences with your friends.

I had a friend in highschool. She was my best friend actually, I trusted her very much. During that time I was getting awfully bullied by some people. My friend was 'friends' with them, she'd always tell me how I looked like a loser or behaved like one, always in front of them. When I told her to stop she said I was getting paranoid, which I was to an extent. We finally couldn't be friends anymore though and I admit it was somewhat my fault too.
Oh and I had another friend who tried to use me as her shadow because I made her 'look' good.

That wasn't a friend , that was a phoney.

It was in high school, we were doing archery. I managed to collect good arrows for the next round, my friend was left with a dud arrow. He didn't like it so he punched me between the eyes.

My high school was a violent place.

In secondary school there were people who came to me only when they needed something done and then disappear when I needed them.

Something similar happened to me as well. When people needed my help, they were polite to me. Then they acted like complete jerks when they did not need my help. :/

Mostly fake "friends" being with me only to get something from me. They were creepy and rude, and whenever I tried to say no to them, they'd whine and get mad and twist the situation to make me look like the enemy. Thanks to my fear of conflict, I've given in to their demands multiple times, and sadly, I ended up in a lot of abusive relationships. It took a while for me to get rid of them, but in the end, I did... and I feel a lot better without them.

Former best friend who I was insanely close with, couldn't keep her hormones in check between me and her bf, she kept breaking up with him and go back because she is really unstable, porn addition do that to people. she eventually choose her bf and I was furious so I left. Came back, she wanted me back than she didn't want to anymore so we both went our seperate ways. Obviously there is a lot of details missing on my bref resume but you get the picture.

All of my bad experiences with friends ended in fist fights. And most of the time once we were done fighting, everything was cool again. I've got quite a few of those stories, though. lol.
