The amount of racism I see online from white people is shocking. So much hate and ignorance. And then I say most white people are racist but you will see many denying it. Take responsibility for your actions. As a whole, white people have been raised with a racist mindset which only a few of them understand. So yes you can be nice and still be racist. Its like this, any white person who denies white privilege and racism is part of the problem. This is not to say white people are bad but they need to understand their privilege and racism problems. But of course say anything about them they are quick to be defensive and touchy. I guess the truth offends

:eek:mg:

To ascribe negative characteristics to any "race" in particular is the very definition of prejudice.

Racism is the default setting for humans in general and not remotely unique to any particular group. As a rule, humans hate, fear, and denigrate anyone even slightly different from themselves.

If you have any hard data contradicting this, please post it.

coast to coast am?

I used to listen to the archive shows which were presented by him and george noory. a lot of them were uploaded to youtube, they have had some fascinating guests.

George Snoory, as most people call him, took over his show, he never wanted to give it up. I forget the whole story it's pretty long and complicated.

Sirius radio was his last try and that didn't work either....

So Art is back on again with his own show. Google "Midnight in the desert" with his name and you will get his website with links to listen to the new show there too. Every weeknight at midnight eastern time. So happy!

i'm not sure what a greek chorus is. but it made me think of this;

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZwuTo7zKM8

:)

Ever read Antigone or any of the Greek classics in school?

Definition: a chorus in a classical Greek play typically serving to formulate, express, and comment on the moral issue that is raised by the dramatic action or to express an emotion appropriate to each stage of the dramatic conflict (Merriam-Webster)

...that clip is fitting enough though ;)

Well this one time, I was watching this one guy on tv and he said this one thing that in a certain light could have been taken as racist! Based on that, we can extrapolate that all people with his qualities are clearly racist. It's science Mr.Peaslee, there's no way around it.

So based on my data, all white males who are multi-millionaires interested in becoming president, run beauty pageants and like to tell people they are fired are racist. It's just the facts!

I'm not sure where you live, but I can recall being 9 years old, walking down the street and being called 'white maggots, white trash and white dog' by drunken adult 'indigenous Australians'. At 9 years of age I had no idea what these 'people' where on about.

The racism card is played far too much these days. Back in primary school we used to play soccer and it was the convicts versus the wogs. Aussies and Italians/Greeks used to wear those names as a badge of honor. It taught us to have a little humility.
Nowadays everyone is so uptight. If I say you are black, it's not because I'm being racist. It's because you are black. How else do you describe the color black? Or blue, green?...

Racism has been around since the dawn of man and is committed by ALL.

Never read Lord of the Flies but seems everyone else has haha. I'm surprised you weren't required to read any of the classics.

No you don't understand. How many times do you see a white person getting called racial slurs? I'm not complaining or 'begging' whites to like me cos I don't need that but white people get away with racism. They want to deny racism and if you say anything bad about them, you start getting called names.

Its not that white people are bad or evil, but you need to accept that you were born in a race with a racist mindset and its something you need to unlearn. Just like how other races have been born with a mindset that white is better. All races needs to take responsibilities of their problems and racism is a problem whites need to accept and change. Everyone is brainwashed. As a black person I'm aware of our problems and i'm unlearning some brainwashing i had myself. White people as a whole have superiority complex and blacks as whole and other races have inferiority complex. if everyone worked on their problems this world would be much better place but everyone is denial.

As for Racism, it will not end for as long as whites deny it.

Continue to post racist nonsense like this and you will get an infraction.

End of discussion please. That goes for everyone.

Accidentally ended up watching Mr. Robot, a new (cyberpunk!) television series about a computer programmer with social anxiety who is recruited by some group to destroy the company he works as a security engineer for. So far it's not bad, I like the protagonist's cynical, sardonic narration ;)

...ouch, sad though, too relatable in some ways.

Graham Hancock is his first guest- love him! He is great. WIsh I could afford his new book. Sounds amazing.

Hope you get to listen soon.

Oh, you should just become a "Time Traveler" and I think you can listen and download anytime, right? $5.00 a month seems reasonable.

I know that I’m lucky. I have the Buddha and a pathway to liberation. I also know that others are not so lucky. I offer metta – loving kindness to those. Namaste.

I feel ****ing hideous. I get so angry about it and sometimes think of cutting my face up with a piece of glass. It's mostly at night when I am alone with my thoughts that I think of this, but it's always there; burrowed beneath the surface eating me alive like a disease. I've been contemplating getting plastic surgery since the age of 15, but mentioning it to the few people I know only yields disapproval which gives me anxiety because, in true people pleasing spirit, I can't do anything that will make other people unhappy. I hate that I have succumbed to vanity. There are so many more important things to worry about/focus on and I choose this? I would never judge another person as harshly as I do myself. In fact, I actually find other people's 'flaws' attractive. Being this insecure is ****ing ridiculous and it sucks- not to mention unattractive. **** everything- I'm going to sleep.

It doesn't sound to me like you're choosing anything, you hate your appearance and it brings you a lot if pain. Don't compound that by hating yourself for hating your appearance. You said that you'd never judge another person the way you judge yourself, so try to imagine how you'd talk to someone who was hurting the same way you are.

I think its just the way the education system is over here, not sure if it's the same now, but we only studied certain topics and parts of history and there was little choice. I would have liked to have studied greek mythology while at school. I would have also liked to have studied left wing politics. instead we all had to do subjects which didn't really interest me as much.

I should probably get a new mattress. I've been struggling to get out of bed for quite a few months, because I don't have any special reason to get up but also because I still feel tired (specially my legs, they feel like they need to be stretched but if I stretch them the feeling doesn't go away).
I have had this mattress since I know I exist, so it's probably 20 years old. My mum will be against buying a new one I'm sure, since she's had to spend a lot of money lately on all sorts of things that decided to break down at the same time. I'd buy it with my own money but she refuses to accept that too.

Yeah, you're right... Thank you for your input- I appreciate it. It's just hard to compliment myself without feeling like it's a lie. Either that or it's accompanied by guilt because then I feel narsassistic. I just wish I didn't care about what I look like. Maybe I should just try to focus on being a better person :/

I hear ya loud and clear, I've battled those very same demons. Just try to cut yourself a little slack. :)
