Nervous about writing a thank-you e-mail in response to a rejection from two editors. They took the time to personally give me feedback, so I think the polite thing to do is respond.

Not sure what I'm supposed to say, though. I don't want to sound like a sycophant or an idiot.

I would say don't think too much about it. Just say thank you for the feedback and it was taken into consideration and appreciated.

Does anyone else read longer articles backward per paragraph? As in, read the last one first, then the second last, then the third last, ect.?

I find it's often easier to get to the point as many reporters will spend about three paragraphs on what feels like fluff and needless setup.

I feel refreshed because I spent a long weekend with my family. We stayed 2 nights at a posh hotel courtesy of a freebie I got from work. Sweet

So it looks like the Hifiman re-400's are the best sounding in ear head phones you can get for under $100 but there are lots of reports of reliability problems.

On the other hand, there are lots of people saying they are built well.

Thus is the either/or nature of internet reviews.

I'm no audiophile, but I bought a pair of Monoprice 8323's a few months ago and I love them. If you haven't already, you might want to check them out.

They definitely blew my old pair of cans out of the water.

just ordered a pizza, only designated myself to have 1 slice tonight and 2 tomorrow if I wanna stay on track with my diet.
I am sure I am breaking some sort of unwritten pizza law whereby if you buy takeout you gotta at least eat the majority of it.

Nu-uh, that's skills! When I go to the store and see a big bag of chips, I think "If I portion this right, I could get this to last for a week or more of lunches" but what really happens is I eat it all in one or two sitting, out of boredom. I for one, am jealous of your self-control

I lashed out and bought Turtle Beach XP7's. Amazing sound. Rich, full bass, great for gaming, movies and music.

don't be jealous, I caved in last night and ate the whole thing! oh dear! lol :eek:mg:

I tend to not buy things like this often because I know it will tempt me, if I can, I chose small portions when getting something that is usually not good for my diet (like a solitary donut or a cake). if its not in the house, it's fine. if its sitting there in the fridge or cupboard I have less self control. so I can diet fine if I stock the place intelligently. I thought i'd test myself and try out getting something scrummy and seeing if it can last through multiple days. I failed.

"If a nickel could urinate, it would taste like Bud Light"

Oh come on, it's not THAT bad. The nickel thing kind of seems accurate though.
