I can hear that accent in my head.
Can ye now?

Git down yonder and get tham aigs, booy.
I went to Tennessee, where they "You'ins" instead "Y'all".
I felt so refined.
Omg! Is that the correct spelling? I've been typing it as "youns".
I'll confer with the OED. ha ha
I've seen it spelled "Yinz" as well. Sheesh, what a bunch of rubes.
I'm curious as to how everyone here learned to type, if they type the "proper" way (whatever it's called - there's a name for it).
Yeah I find it incredibly uncomfortable to type the "right" way. I also do the index finger typing along with my middle finger and finger fingers for out of the way keys.
My blood pressure is 160/80.
It's a wonder I'm not dead....
I didn't know there were two systems for this, haha. Basically all I know is that 120/80 is considered normal, even though some doctors say 110/70 is what to strive for, and I'm at 160/80, which is heart attack stuff. Doctor told me if I can't get it diminished, she'll force me into medication. She can't do that, and she knows it, but I can tell she doesn't like it.Is that in the metric system or...?

^ ah, manual typewriters, weren't they wonderful!? <-- sarcasm.I learnt touch-type using an old manual typewriter whilst watching half hour long daily re-runs of a well known classic soap. On my desk to my right I had a learn to type typing drill book. It probably took a couple of months of daily drill practice before I became competent. My eyes would pass between the tv screen and the book to my right but never down to manual keyboard. The finger pressing the key would always return to its home key. The other seven fingers would always remain on their respective home keys. Learning to type is repetition and perseverance nothing else.
