Feel like I have something stuck in my throat for the past few days. Also hurts reasonably when I yawn, but not when I swallow.

I'm curious as to how everyone here learned to type, if they type the "proper" way (whatever it's called - there's a name for it).

Yeah I find it incredibly uncomfortable to type the "right" way. I also do the index finger typing along with my middle finger and finger fingers for out of the way keys.

Finally someone understands! The computer teacher i had in high school tried to fail me for two-fingering my way through class (god that sounds bad) even though i met the word per minute minimum.

Just when I find a good show to watch on Netflix I watch them all and then I am let down and searching for something new. Phooey.
Tried Breaking Bad...0_0
Did that one work a number on anyone else's anxiety!?
LOVED An Idiot Abroad. Also love The IT Crowd, New Girl, and Don't Trust the B**** in Apartment 23. Saw all of Alaska the Last Frontier. Hmmm.
Anyone else find any other good one's? I prefer comedy (for settling down at night.)

I learnt touch-type using an old manual typewriter whilst watching half hour long daily re-runs of a well known classic soap. On my desk to my right I had a learn to type typing drill book. It probably took a couple of months of daily drill practice before I became competent. My eyes would pass between the tv screen and the book to my right but never down to manual keyboard. The finger pressing the key would always return to its home key. The other seven fingers would always remain on their respective home keys. Learning to type is repetition and perseverance nothing else.

I maintain my touch typing ability by doing online typing drills. There are loads good tutorials out there. I just pick one and practice daily for a week or so every few months.

Is that in the metric system or...?
I didn't know there were two systems for this, haha. Basically all I know is that 120/80 is considered normal, even though some doctors say 110/70 is what to strive for, and I'm at 160/80, which is heart attack stuff. Doctor told me if I can't get it diminished, she'll force me into medication. She can't do that, and she knows it, but I can tell she doesn't like it.

I like to live dangerously. ::p:

It might be white coat hypertension. It isn't a bad idea to ask for a 24 hour blood pressure monitor.

I was talking to a nice doctor in the hospital emergeny ward once. My blood pressure went up to 200/100, when I was talking to her. It must've been her spiky hair.

^ ah, manual typewriters, weren't they wonderful!? <-- sarcasm.

I learnt to touch-type on a manual typewriter in high school. I actually wanted to be a secretary back then, god knows why.:eek:mg:
Fortunately I was not very accurate at typing, so that idea never eventuated.

Main thought of the day: Life is extremely precarious.

I use all of my left hand fingers. Only use my right hand thumb for space, pinky for delete or enter, and middle finger for everything else.
I think this is because most games I used to play required the left hand on the keyboard and the right one on the mouse.
