I thought about this before, but I don't think I could do it.

For the good and the bad, I'm very special (especially for the bad) and so I think I could only be with someone who is very special too.
Of course I could meet someone special in there, but probably not the kind of person I'd like.

I want to try and find somebody on a dating site but I have no money. I found a UK dating site for shy people and I think I'll give that a try. I'm just worried about what the girls will think of a 22 year-old virgin, but I'm still going to try.

I don't know my experience with online dating is that the girls I have met are always a little crazy or misleading.....Maybe that is just me subconsciously being attracted to that type of person but my experiences have not been so good.

If you've met people from a dating site I'd consider that having been successful. Just think of it as meeting new people and putting yourself out there. If you go into dates hoping it's going to be your soul mate you're probably going to be disappointed most of the time. Go into the date with 0 expectations, that's my appoach. You've already succeeded by meeting someone new.

There are free dating sites like OkCupid and Plentyoffish. There's absolutely no need to pay money to join dating sites.

And you have no obligation to tell women you meet that you're a virgin. It's none of their business. Unless things get serious I would advise against it.

Why would anyone get mad about that? What kind of mind do human beings have? If some girl told me that and she was 22, I wouldn't care at all, so why would girls care about that with you?
A girl that was interested in me a few years back found my virginity a turn-off, so it might matter to some.

If a woman is shallow enough to care about your virginity that much, then she's not worth your time anyway. If a girl cares about your virginity that early in a relationship, it's bound to end anyway I'd think.

I really don't understand why there are certain women out there that care so much about that. That woman I got with the first online dating meeting got rid of me after one night because she found out she was my first.

If you ask me, women that need experienced guys in the sack are the same ones that put sex above the social part of the relationship. I don't understand that because there are two parts of a relationship: socializing and intimacy. I would definitely put social connection above sex. Are these women just wanting to have sex every second they see their man?

I mean, how are these virgin haters ever supposed to get the know the guy? I thought that was the whole point of a relationship, was to connect. Maybe I'm just not as sexual as some people, idk.

You're right, this is terrible. It shouldn't matter but to some girls it does.

BUT....

I know of guys who won't date girls because they've been with too many partners. They're now branded a "slut" and that diminishes any attraction. Girls have it just as bad, but for the opposite reason.

But that's part of the reason I'm complaining.

Don't you think it makes more sense that either sex has that problem if they've had too many partners. More partners=better chance for STDs statistically.

It sucks that it's mainly placed on women, but it makes more sense considering a guy can walk out of the bedroom with a woman who's had too many partners and have crabs or something. A woman walks out of a room with a guy who was a virgin and she's running no risk. I mean, wouldn't a woman rather have a guy that is clean as opposed to a guy who may have an STD?

You see what I'm saying? The stigma for male virgins seems unfair compared to the women who have too many partners stigma.

There's so many! It all depends on your interests, and which kind of people you want to narrow in on. Theres sites for people who like tattoos, who have mental illnesses and your religion Plus usually all sites offer a free membership and a paying one which gives you more options
Some good sites:
Match.com
Chemistry.com
Zoosk.com

These have a big data base of people. Which is best for selection among various different people.
I did a study on online dating websites for psychology, be wary though it's a breeding nest for scammers, pedophiles and weirdos.

A while ago I saw a lot of these Russian bride ads, so I thought I should have a look so I registered using my safe email.

If you want to contact someone, you have to pay money for each contact.
And after a week I had emails from 140 woman who professed their love for me, but my profile views were 5. I didn't even had a picture up. It is now going to spam.

Where are the most people at? Pay sites or free sites? Anybody know?

I would think the largest selection would be on free sites?

People who want to try it out, browse around and just attempt maybe one date or two go to the free sites. Mostly every site is free at first, it's just certain members that decide to get a premium membership who are really serious and like the site enough to expand their options. Bigger databases are definitely the free sites, since most members rely of a free membership rather than paying. Usually every site has mixture of both free and paid. Go for free if you want more options since it attracts those people curious and just want to try it out.

I am on an online dating site, but I wouldn't say that I really have high hopes that anything will come of it. I just keep it up, just in case I guess. Honestly, I want a guy who isn't experienced with sex. I have a profile on okcupid and whenever I see guys who answered a ton of questions about sex, I sort of lose interest in them. I mean, I want to have sex, I just get freaked out when I think of being with someone who is super experienced and really kinky or something. I'm a 24 year old virgin (female) and I've avoided answering all the questions that come up about sex on okcupid, cause I obviously have zero experience.

Also, are there shy dating sites? If anyone has any links to some good shy dating sites that they've been on, can you link me? I really just want to be with a shy person, dammit. I have no desire to be with an outgoing person who is my complete opposite. I prefer shy, quiet guys.

I've heard of a site called http://www.shypassions.com[/U]. I know really nothing about it and if it's a good site but I know it caters around shy people. Perhaps maybe try a site that is more serious into dating. I know a lot of the sites do focus a lot on young teens who are avid to talk about sex. A more serious site would be per say EHarmony.
