Okay, here's a story: I was stuck in a lease once with a roommate who was the devil herself. I felt trapped and depressed, actually, oppressed is a better word for it. I expressed how I felt to a friend who casually said "well, move out." I said "I can't, I have a lease, responsibility etc.." She said "just do. Just get up and do it." I did. Somehow hearing it out of her mouth in such a casual way helped me gain the courage to take that step, take that chance, and it was the best decision I ever made.
So I say to you "just do. Just get up and do it." Sometimes you have to get good and mad before you find the strength to make that change- if that's what you really want to do.
Came across this morning. It has to be the most appropriately time motivational post ever. Just get up and go - do it.
The people in the homeless centre said 'if you don't do this' and I really don't want to do this, 'you can leave tomorrow'.
Well you know what I can 'just get up and do it' and leave tomorrow. I've done it before and I can do it again. I've some the numbers to call to get me into the night shelters. It will be tough but 'll be OK and most of all it will be my choice. I'm not going to be bullied.
I'm packed and ready to go.
