I did it!

I'm sponsoring a 10-year-old boy in Zambia. Payments start on the 28th and will continue every month until I stop them.

I'm happy to be making a positive difference in someone's life who doesn't have the basic amenities that I take for granted as an Australian. :D

Hie yer hence from me heath!
i like your beard. Is that a normal approach to a conversation with someone you find attractive? Only four words, it seems quite manageable, really. But if they're totally caught off guard then you'll probably end up looking stupid. Or maybe cute and endearing. Yeah, let's go with the last one. Oh geez, I dunno.

It's a nice compliment. But, d'ye go fae there? :idontknow:

Though, ah used tae get caught off guard wi' that when ah was a teenager. Mainly because ah always thought any lassie who said that tae me was jist huvin me oan.

And also, do you walk away after you say it or during? You need to give them enough time to process and respond but you can't just stand there waiting for a reply if it's not going to come and they're really just wondering why you're standing there like an idiot.

"Eh, thanks..." would probably be the most likely response. Mibbe that's just me? So walk away after if you get a response. But don't wait aroon fur a response, if it's no' comin' - that's awkward fur tha baith o' ye.

Anyway, that's whit ah think, Courtney. Hope that's of some help, if any.

Dude! You contacted me first to practice signing, now you have no time? Don't wait my time getting my interest up when you don't have time to even have a cell phone...

I'm nothing. I should just try to get a job in D.C. Find my own place, get rid of my vehicle, phone, and put my son up for adoption while losing contact with everyone else.

Am I the only one who gets nervous when people wear sunglasses? It always looks like they're staring at you. Same thing with car windscreens. Makes me feel awkward when I'm standing at the traffic light. O_O

except I look laughably terrible with sunglasses.

I'm sure there are some that fit you. I have a small face so all sunglasses looked huge on me, but after searching for a while I found a pair that fit me well. Had to pay 40€ for it though, can't find cheap ones that fit me.

Seriously. Why won't you write a ****ing book to be a life coach. Since you think you're so great, you should sell millions.

I overhead my family gossip about me just now. They're starting to use me as a scapegoat for their frustrations. They're generally unhappy and don't understand why.. and as such, they redirect the heat at the most eccentric person in the house because they can't understand me.

The ironic thing being that I do more for this house that most of them and never complain about anything, even though the conditions here can frequently be described as terror. I have about twenty years of pent of frustration against these people that I haven't aired I deemed it unnecessary negativity.

They're whiny, judgemental, hypocrites that take their fortunes for granted, that never follow up on their promises, and that have little grip on their lives, and so help me God if they turn on me I'll leave non of them standing.

I see other people having conversations, being social and getting along great and think how I never really experience that much. and it kind of emphasizes (to me) how I am not fitting in. if it happens, its very fleeting and seems more of a fluke that I somehow inspired a conversation. this isn't that much of a big deal, I don't mind that I am different but its a strange situation I find myself in. it feels like I am always an observer of so******ing and never really a partaker, like there is always an invisible barrier there, which means for whatever reason I can't join in, I don't know how often other people get this. a feeling that everything is off limits.

hmm, suppose I should get back to worrying about christmas day.
