Was sitting watching my son's baseball game and feelings of shame came over me. I worried everyone could see what I failure I am (since I don't have a job.) This may sound weird to say, but luckily it started raining and suddenly I didn't worry that anyone was judging me anymore, I knew they were just thinking about the rain. What a relief!

I would love just one day without worrying and the debilitating discomfort of anxiety. I forgot what it feels like not to feel like Im dying in public.

I know how you're feeling as I don't have any work atm and feel shame because of it. Being a parent is an extra-full time job, so keep those shame feelings away. I think it's great that you're getting to see your son play sport, there's a lot of value in that for you and for him!

^You DO have a job my dear.
You are a "mother" to several young/dependant children, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, until they reach the age of legally becoming an adult.
Just because you don't get "paid" for what takes up most of your day, 7 days a week, it does not mean it is not "work". :)

^That would be absolute bliss!!
I last felt that way one day in June, 1980.
Do you have any memories of feeling like that? Even if you only have a few minutes of a memory of that, could you close your eyes and concentrate on those moments, to give your nervous system a brief "rest" from it's "normally anxious" state at the moment?
I do that sometimes and I find it fairly soothing, even if it is just a few minutes worth of good memory.:)

For those asking about Stiener, he got banned for a week as he already has three infractions and then created another account (which is against the rules). If you have any more queries, PM a moderator, don't post about mod decisions in the forums.

Back on 'random' topic please.

Would this make Scotland independent from the UK?

I think my mum is drunk again. It started some weeks ago, I thought it was because of stress from work because she had a lot of things to do but now that the workload went down, she keeps doing it. It started being just in the weekends but today is not even halfway through the week.
My sense of smell is awful so I can't smell any alcohol, but she's like wobbling around when walking and always taking a step back like she's trying to catch her balance, the way she talks is weird too. Today it doesn't seem very bad but some days she's so out of balance that she almost falls on the floor (actually fell twice).

Aye, it would.
I really don't know enough about Scotland to say too much, but I wonder, if Scotland wins freedom from the UK will cause unrest in N. Ireland? I know it's been a touchy subject for them. I guess I always assumed Scotland would want freedom, but I suppose it would cause another whole host of issues i.e. government etc. Might be like Russia and Ukraine, some want freedom, some don't etc.
Interesting stuff watching history unfold.

Do you think she could compensating for not drinking with other medications? That might account for not being able to smell anything.
Maybe she has an inner ear problem?

Sometimes I read the personal ads on craigslist just to remind myself that no matter how lonely and miserable I am, things could always be worse.

It could stir up calls for Northern Ireland tae huv independence as well. Though, ah think they're wantin' tae see how it pans oot in Scotland, first. See if we f**k up.

Aye, it's interesting watchin' history unfold. Ah jist git the feelin' that whole "Yes" campaign for Scots independence is being pushed by the whole "Braveheart" mentality. Plus, maist uh the Scottish celebrities backin' that very same campaign dinnae even live in Scotland anymore. So, it's awright fur them.

Ah mean, from a patrotic standpoint it'd be great tae see Scotland gain independence - ah think aw Scots would want that. But pit that intae practice from a practical and financial standpoint, and ah don't see how the Scottish government'll find enough money tae sustain independence - no' unless they raise taxes.

^Um, I am really tired 'cause I had a full on day, so forgive my brain-fog. Could you please explain a little about how reading the personal ads on craigslist helps to remind you that things could be worse? I just can't figure out what you mean?

I am curious, because I need all the help I can get, but I don't understand how it helps? :idontknow:
Or can anyone else describe to me what he means by that? my brain is dead right now and I might not be able to find this post again next time I am able to come in.
