Understand what you're saying about mass immigration. I think that immigration on a massive scale is unsustainable, really. I'm not anti all immigration, just immigration at an unsupportable level. The problem is though I recognise mass immigration is in some ways impractical, I can't find it in myself to say we shouldn't accept immigrants or those who genuinely are in need of asylum. It's hard to find a middle ground I guess.
Tolerance is a tricky one. I feel that we should be respectful of other cultures and religions, but there's obviously a line drawn. If people engage in behaviours that are contrary to our laws, then they should be punished by our legal system. I also think we should be a secular state, and no religion, whether it be Christianity, Islam, Hinduism etc should come into play with governing society. That said, if people want to practice their own religions they absolutely have the right to say so.
I didn't mean to demonise you when I said I dislike Farage, and I don't think it's racist to have strong opinions about topics like immigration, it can just be tricky ground. I think the media can strongly misrepresent (nature of the beast, I know) the actual state of affairs and single out minority cases where people are in the habit of cruel cultural practices (I'm looking at you, Daily Mail) in order to make it seem as though they are the norm.
