Work is finished for a whole 2.5 days (!).
It's been a busy week, and a busy year, full of some awesome things and some not so awesome things, but lots of lessons learned.
I'd like to wish all SPW-ers a very happy and prosperous Christmas and new year.
And now is the time to bid ye good day and open up the wine my boss got me.
Best wishes to all!!! xx

It Christmas here in New Zealand - I have just worked 14 hours yippee!

Nga mihi nui mo te Kirihimete.

Have a Merry christmas SPW :)

Signed - a nice guy

Merry Cristmas everyone. :)
^ Merry Christmas! :)

Most of the Christmas food has been cooked and bought. If I didn't know any better, I would assume we'd be feeding the Australian army. Instead there's going to be a grand total of 5 of us (including my grandmother who eats like a bird) eating a huge turkey, chicken schnitzel, lasagna, salad, potato salad, prawns, ice cream, cake, pavlova, and all sorts of other nibbles during the day. It's going to be a fat Christmas!
^! And I thought my mother made a lot for Christmas. I'm still not entirely sure what we're having. I think we're having homemade gnocchis, choice between tomato or alfredo sauce, with seared scallops and flounder. Maybe with some fried calamari too... And probably garlic bread. Oh and of course wine. We always have seafood and pasta for Christmas. We very rarely will have any sort of roast or dessert. My mother always makes a ton of sugar cookies and other treats this time of year, so everyone munches on them all week.

Merry christmas everyone!
Wow, I've never felt so alive before, but it's probably because of the holiday spirit. This time of year is when I'm the happiest.

I've been playing Skyward Sword ever since my computer broke down. I had more fun in Twilight Princess, but it's definitely quite fun. Flying that bird just doesn't get old. The Wii controls get some getting used to, though.

I still haven't played this because of the Wii controls! I wish there was a choice of a plain old controller. I miss the good old days xD. You've reminded me, I may go back to Majora's Mask over christmas.

Random thought(ahem rant): when you have no one to spend the hoilay with and every friend (and by that I mean 6 people) you approach says they can't hang out with you because they have a date, then you start to realise how miserable your life is. :(
Rant over.

Thanks guys, you're both very kind. I'm feeling a lot better now after a good cry. Also after talking to my roommate about her very rough childhood which explains why she seems so cold at times, it all just seems kinda silly.

Your friends don't sounds particularly caring - it sucks to feel excluded. I hope this changes for you and you find some people in your life who appreciate and want to spend time with you. It is a shame they don't understand the effect it is having and how you truly feel. Sending some warmth your way Srijita - even if it's just cyberspace vibes...

Don't get me wrong, though. I like the controls.

Like having superior controls over your sword is quite amazing. Like when you pull swords from their pedestal, they actually make you do the motions with the Wii mote. And the sword fighting itself is also a lot more involved then just mashing the same button over and over.

But, while it enhances certain things, you do notice that Wii designed Zelda games feel a bit experimental. In traditional Zelda games you tend to forget you even have the controller in your hand, that's unfortunately not the case with the Wii mote. I'm always a little more aware of the controls then I'd like to.

Though, since the Wii U has (almost) normal controls, we might just see a another traditional Legend of Zelda game in the future yet.

(Also, they should totally bring back Majora's Mask at some point as a villain or story element. That was one of the best enemies. <3)
