went to see Christmas lights tonight - the nephew loved them :)

I'm so ruining those kids, lol. I put the hood up on my nephew's jacket and said say to dad and mom that you didn't choose the thug life, the thug life chose you.

And I dance with them to gangnam style and party rock anthem. Hey, it keeps them quiet and they like it, unless the smile is gas?

Also, I told them that the (4 month old) niece's 'street name' is Shaniqua.

My brother said 'happy birthday Jesus' (he was kidding) to which my nephew said, happy birthday sheldon cooper. (from the big bang theory)

haha! my job is done. I put the 'fun' in dysfunction. Hey, at least they will grow up with a sense of twisted humor. :giggle:

Your friends don't sounds particularly caring - it sucks to feel excluded. I hope this changes for you and you find some people in your life who appreciate and want to spend time with you. It is a shame they don't understand the effect it is having and how you truly feel. Sending some warmth your way Srijita - even if it's just cyberspace vibes...

Its okay Kia. I understand they have a life of their own and aren't bound to include me in everything they do.
Thank you, maybe I'll spend my holiday with SPW. :)

That is the best part of being an aunt/uncle! You get to have fun with the kids and get them all hopped up on sugar and do really stupid things, then send them back to their parents and not have to deal with temper tantrums or punishments or sugar crashes. I love being an aunt!

^ thank you I'm glad you smiled :)
I know your having a tough time right now so I am happy that it made you smile:bigsmile:

my coping mechanism is acting silly and trying to find something funny on tv or a silly movie, sometimes the mindless, most goofiest things will help me (albeit temporary) get out of my depressed times. Even if it is roaming youtube for the goofy things, fun music, whatever helps.

Here's something to get you started:
Mad TV - Flashlights - YouTube
(not suitable for work - sexual innuendo content)

Take care of yourself :)

^it's fun, huh?
when TikTok came out my nephew loved that song...of course it's not very appropriate for a toddler but we had fun. He also likes California Girls by Katy Perry and when she says 'sippin gin and juice' he thinks she's saying cherry juice - that's fine, lol

Well I have finished my essay. 1500 words - bit a of a chore actually. It's entitled
"Cultural Differences in Models of Health Between Indigenous
People and Westernized Mainstream Thought."

I put a lot of work into it - considering that the material was difficult to absorb. Guess I will see how I do.
