If Stephen Hawking had the looks of Brad Pitt, would he still have proposed the four laws of black hole mechanics?

Nope. He'd be too busy ;)::p:

If Brad Pitt had the intelligence of Stephen Hawking, would he still have proposed to Angelina Jolie?

No. He never would have agreed to act in that horrible movie where they met.

Nikola Tesla and a couple of other geniouses would have been quite good looking if they had chosen a different haircut.

Socrates married Xanthippe, so I don't see why not. :D

Intelligence. Good looks fade.

intelligence can fade too

I don't know which one to take, obviously i don't want someone i can't look at and i don't want someone that would annoyed every time she says something. But I guess i'll go with intelligence

the intelligence of a george orwell or a thom yorke would be ideal, not necessaraly out of a craving for knowledge but its about having a few handy talents and a good sense of how the world REALLY operates and how to handle it. ...

Good looks, at this point in my life, I don't see how intelligence is going to help me progress, good looks would be welcomed indeed.

Let me re-phrase the question in a more specific way.... Would you like to look like Brad pitt or George Bush......? ok,Now would you prefer to be as smart as George Bush (LOL) or Einstein??
I bet you responded Pitt and Einstein.... Am I right??? Ok so now we have a control group.... I will ask this stupid question again.... Next week....After another imported Guiness...

How do you know this??? Good looks could make you a possible movie star.. I won't mention examples...... Although I do confess that it's more than good looks that makes you famous.....You need both and lots of luck....

I can't answer such a simple question..... Well let me make it simple... Looks or intelligence??? You are either ugly and smart or handsome and dumb..... What would you choose????

In all honesty I'd choose handsome and dumb. I know that's pretty shallow, but it is true we do live in a society that values looks more than intelligence.

If I'd choose the original options, which are looks or intelligence, I'd say looks again, while I can retain my current intelligence.

To be honest I've reached a point in my life where I comfortable with my looks and intelligence.

In terms of intelligence, I tend to allign myself with Sir Joseph Banks, being a botanist. I'm not too worried about my looks, as long as I can run fast.

My Mum used to say there is nothing wrong with me. And you know she was probably right?

Good looks, please. I don't think an astronomical IQ would help me sleep any better at night but if I could just walk down the street without feeling like a monster I think I might just be able to attain something close to happiness, or at least confidence.

I consider myself to be of decent intelligence, and I have always been insecure about my looks. I would of course love to be physically appealing, but with this question, I'm gonna have to go with intelligence. As Judge Judy said (shut up, I love her), "Beauty fades. Dumb is forever."
