Anyone else addicted to the internet?

Literally the first thing I do is open my computer and then proceed to sit here all day on the internet. I really need to stop this perpetual browsing/listening - as much as I like it.
Anybody else find it hard to put the keyboard away?

i don't know whether I'm addicted to the internet

or if I'm addicted to avoidance/procrastination, and use the internet as a mechanism toward that

either way, it's problematic

Yep, coyote said it well

I would be able to go without my computer if I felt comfortable in human presence...
The days I can go without my computer are the days I spend with the family
I know the reason I am on is to connect with others when I feel I can't, or when it feels too difficult. But I am on here all day, and it has become an all-day need. I am afraid to even leave technology (computer, television, Ipod(music)) because I have developed what seems like a severe attachment problem to the illusion of company.

The problem is that when one of us shuts the computer, we lose our human contact... We, or I, atleast, downward spiral, quickly. Although this might give us the motivation to one day go out and meet people, the absence of life usually sucks the life out of me before I can get there.

I am definitely addicted to the internet. Although, since deleting my Facebook and such my addiction has actually decreased a bit.

I use the internet, along with the computer itself, as a tool for productivity, fun, and education. I wouldn't say I'm addicted. Not any more addicted then a driver is to his/her car.

I need it, but I don't ''need'' it.

not addicted but i use it alot because it's there to be used, i can take it or leave it if i wanted to but its like having a library and huge amount of resources as well as music and games, videos, wikipedia, amazon, research ..

Me, but that's not a big deal when you get used to it. It would be worse to be a retarded superficial guido or something.

i am, but for the first time in my life i'm actually trying to cut down my time spend on it. So far doing ok, I keep realizing at what point i'm not doing anything relevant when i'm online

Nope. I can't stay on it for too long without needing a break. I use it mainly to kill time.

The only thing that qualifies addiction for me would be television. Although I watch it all the time cuz I have nothing else to do, and don't read books. I've never been much of a reader, and don't hang out with anyone, so yeah. I'm stuck with tv and internet.....and beer.
