"Chopping"
The word itself doesn't bother me.
But when it's used as slang for sex......I can't stand it.
It sounds so stupid.

My most hated phrase by far, is 'no offense'.

Sometimes the sentence that came before it isn't even that bad, until 'no offense' is added at the end.

Just don't say it at all! -_-

i agree. i don't like 'no offense'. it's such a lie most of the time. rare to hear it and know they really don't mean to offend you.

''no offence'' isn't as bad as ''I'm not a racist, but...'', ''I'm not a homophobe, but...''.

Epic, when used to describe that which is not. In films, at least, the term suggests larger-than-life characters, heroic struggles, and a sense of vastness in both time and space. Lawrence of Arabia? Epic. Doctor Zhivago? Epic. Your three-minute Grumpy Cat compilation on YouTube? Not so much.

This morning, I saw this word applied to . . . wait for it . . . a lettuce-eating contest. :eek:h:

I'm still cringing.

I feel awesome should be a great word to describe something truly... well, awesome, awe inspiring... but it's used for less than awe inspiring things.
''Oh you're going to the zoo too? Awesome''.

UGH nevermind, I think I hate those you just said more.

"I'm not a homophobe, but marriage should be between a man and a woman."

I don't get things like this.

you can think only guys and girls should be married without being afraid of gay folks.

incorrect use of the word "seen"... used in place of "have seen" or "saw"

as in, "I seen Bigfoot!"
