rate the last film you watched

Teeth - 6/10

it had some really funny/ gross parts in it. some people may find that it makes them want to throw up and other people might find it funny. i found it grossly funny but it lacked a good storyline which is why i rate this film a six.

LOL! I have a friend who watched that movie and told me about the basic premise. She had pretty much the same reaction that you did. ;)

The Campaign - 7/10

It was pretty funny.
Yes, it was much funnier than I expected! Loved the Pugs - lol. ::p:

There's an upcoming movie being filmed in my area with Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn called The Internship. Apparently there have been a lot of sightings of them out and about, but I've not seen them - yet! ::(: I looooove Vince Vaughn! Can't wait 'til the movie comes out!

So did I. I wanted them!

And OMGGGG I love Vince Vaughn! I hope you get to see him! He's so cute. Haha.

The Avengers 7/10 I think all the hype I've seen over this movie, especially the fangirling on Tumblr, gave me too high of expectations. It was pretty good, but just not what I was expecting.

Iron Man 2 7.5/10 I haven't seen the first IM, so I don't have anything to compare it to. Stupid Netflix doesn't have the first movie on streaming. They do have Thor and Captain America though, so I'll be caught up on the Marvel movies.

I've not seen it yet, but The Perks of Being a Wallflower sounds like a movie many of us would really relate to. Hope to see it soon!

I want to see it so badly (I loved the book), but it hasn't come out near me. And there doesn't seem to be a release date in sight. It's really annoying. ::(:

^ It's playing here now, but it's one of those movies that I'm hesitant to go to with anyone because it sounds like a total tear-jerker. And I *will* cry like a baby, which is sooooo embarrassing! I've never gone to a movie alone, but this might be a good one to test that out on a week day when I'm off work and the theater is pretty empty! ::eek::

I watched Moonrise Kingdom. It was nice and upbeat. Artistically neat too.

I've seen so many movies without posting my thoughts, it's crazy. I'll try to get you all caught up.

The Double: 6.5/10 stars

This movie was solid. I like Gere and Topher Grace in this one. Cool CIA type stuff.

Hostel Part III: 6/10 stars

It wasn't that bad, actually. Lots of crazy deaths.

Wanderlust: 2/10 stars

Ugh, hated this one. I just didn't like the plot and the weird things that happen. Bad jokes. Expected more from Aniston + Rudd.

Margaret: 2/10 stars

Started off great with a shocking first scene followed by a disastrous rest of the film.

It was slow and dull and seemed like more of a story of a depressing existance.

American Reunion: 7/10 stars

Although it was the weaker ones of the series, they still know how to make me laugh. The characters are outstanding, especially Steve Stifler.

Franklin and Bash: 5.5/10 stars (series)

Not my favorite show due to the cheesiness of it, but there are some great moments in the show. It's watchable.

21 Jump Street: 9/10 stars

Just outstanding. I was laughing out loud more than usual, which is tough to make me do consistently. Loved the jokes in this.

Lockout: 3/10 stars

I turned it off within 20 minutes or so. I didn't like where it was going. Too much played out hero stuff for me.

Playback: 6/10 stars

This movie would have been so much better if it had a realistic story, not some supernatural monitor hex thing. Still, I thought it was interesting.

John Carter: 2/10 stars

Too Disney for my taste.

The Three Stooges: 4/10 stars

It had some funny moments. Was better than I thought.

Project X: 8/10 stars

Pretty darn good film. The friend that talked to everyone was hilarious. "Yo, come get a piece of this white chocolate!"

I have more that I'll post next time.

Murder by Death (1976) 4/10

Murder-mystery spoof written by Neil Simon, with a stellar cast including Alec Guinness, Peter Sellars, Maggie Smith, and Truman Capote (his only movie appearance). Should have been so much better.

Rise of the Dark Knights

Very nice movie! Watched it at the SPW meeting, was a very lovely time.

And the movie was very good, strong story.

Rules of Engagement, Season 3: 7/10 stars

It's all about Russell (David Spade) and Timmy. Those guys make the show. I like Patrick Warburton?'s character too. Good chemistry between the cast.

Spade is one of the all time best comedians. His voice and delivery are a gift from God.

Straw Dogs (First one): 3.5/10 stars

You want to talk about creepy, this one took the cake. Not sure how this film was mysoginistic? It was more of a sick and twisted film that had a semi-rape scene (it was semi because technically the girl wanted the guy to rape her).

It was a depressing movie.

The Dictator: 6/10 stars

The entire thing was either rude and funny or just rude. Cohen's a funny guy though.

The Hunger Games: 6.5/10 stars

Incredible picture, great acting. I loved the originality.

Goon: 6.5/10 stars

Awkward a lot of the time, and awkwardly funny a lot of the time.

Texas Killing Fields: 3/10 stars

A dead, lully movie with a dark and slow pace. Uneventful and gloomy.

Boy Wonder: 6/10 stars

A vigilante film. I liked what they did with it.

Legends of the Fall: 3/10 stars

Too sappy and dramatic.

@oceanmist why only 6.5/10 for hunger games if it was so great? too long?

Well, coming from me, 6.5 stars is pretty good. I can be tough to please with movies. I gave Margaret a 2/10 and that movie got great ratings from most people.

About hunger games, it was very long, but I don't think that's what made me keep the rating below 7.

I actually thought the movie was kind of depressing. The way people talked in the movie was sort of searching for perfection.

I didn't see the movie as epic.

I didn't feel like the movie ever resolved the problem at hand. I don't want to spoil it, but the ending of the movie left me with an empty, unresolved feeling. The people in the futuristic world were so heartless, it was scary.

I personally think that girl should have shot those people in that room with her bow and arrow when she had the chance. At least some of those people running the games deserved to die. Only one guy did from my recolection?

I guess I wanted to see justice in the film, and I never received that justice.

Don't get me wrong, the movie was still great. I think 6.5 stars is enough of a rating to call a movie great. That's my opinion, at least.

but it's a trilogy... you can't expect justice when you know there are two more movies to come! oh well.
