Moonrise Kingdom--8/10. I'm a big Wes Anderson fan, and this was pretty typical of his stuff. Very quirky, very gorgeously filmed. But not Wes Anderson's best, by far. It was kind of slow, but overall very enjoyable.

ERRR im jealous. I'm also a huge fan of wes anderson, but that movie isnt playing in any of the theaters near me. ::(:

The amazing spider man-8.5/10 I really liike the new direction their taking with this one. I found almost everything exciting. The ending was really great and had me on the edge of my seat. I could watch that movie again right now.

Jeff, Who Lives At Home---8.5/10---I really enjoyed this movie! I'm really picky about my comedies, but this one was consistently amusing. It's not crude like a lot of comedies are (aside from the f-bombs). Plus, I think Jason Segel is pretty adorable. A lot of subtle humor, as well as laugh out loud moments. The only scene I didn't like was the husband/wife argument scene, but it was pretty important to the rest of the movie, so okay. I love that the "loser" living at home with his mom ends up being way less of a loser than his jerk brother. I would definitely recommend it!

Me and my Dad watched The Deep (1977) a few hours ago, good movie. It's 2 hours long.

I would give it a 6/10I think.

Not as good as the second one, but still an amazingly great movie that shouldn't be missed by anyone

Watching Breaking Bad right now. I was skeptical, but this show rocks. B Cranst and A Paul are my boys.

8/10 stars

^ My sister watched all of the BB episodes on Netflix in about a week as well. She loves it. I'll probably watch it one day. I have too many shows as it is.

The Dark Knight Rises 8.5/10

I saw the first of Nolan's Batman adaptations, but I never saw the second one (with the Joker, I think). So I was a little confused about certain plot points. But Christopher Nolan never disappoints. I enjoyed it very much. And what a crazy amazing cast!

Slightly off topic - I did find it rather violent. Maybe my judgment is colored by what happened in Colorado, but I was more shocked by the violence in this movie than I have been in any other movie. I wouldn't even say it is the most violent movie I've ever seen, but throughout the whole movie I felt this... fear. Not really a fear of something happening in the theater, but just a general fear of how easy it seems for "normal people" (the haves and have-nots is bit of a plot point in the movie) to create chaos and terror. Plus Bane is just damned terrifying to me. Am I the only one who watched this movie and felt this way?

Yeah The Dark Knight Rises was good. I would give it a 9 or even a 10.

Just saw "Surf's Up" -- great great great film. Like an 8/10.

Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948) — 8/10

Classic horror-comedy, with Bela Lugosi as Dracula and Lon Chaney, Jr. as Larry Talbot, the wolf man. Lugosi and Chaney had created these same roles (in 1931 and 1941, respectively) and here they play them just as straight as in the original Universal horror classics, providing sharp contrast to the hilarious antics of Bud and Lou. The only real flaw is the absence of Boris Karloff in the role of the Frankenstein monster. Great fun.

Any other classic film fans here?

The Dark Knight Rises-6/10

I was actually very disappointed with this movie. For one, the movie has some plot holes. I don't won't to give any spoilers, but I thought the motivations for the villains didn't really make any sense. Bruce Wayne has a romantic connection with a new character named Miranda; however, I think the relationship felt extremely forced. They pretty much go from not displaying any romantic interest in each other to spontaneously "boinking" in a rainstorm. Furthermore, there is a big plot twist at the end that lost all of its effect on me because I thought the character associated with the plot twist was so boring that I just didn't care. I didn't like how the movie ended either. The movie isn't bad. I mean, Bane is pretty cool, and the action scenes are nice. I just don't think the movie was particularly good either. It's easily the weakest of Christopher Nolan's Batman movies.
