X-Men: First Class - 9/10

Saw this last night with a couple of friends. It was fantastic! :) The Wolverine cameo was classic :D

That was a surprise for me. 8.5/10. I loved James McAvoy and Michael Fastbender as Xavier and Magneto respectively.

Bryan Singer who produced and co-wrote this, and directed/wrote X-men 1 and 2, and partly produced Wolverine Origins (I think), it fits nicely with these. I DO NOT count X-men 3... Singer wasn't a part of it, and it sucked butt. I mean you don't kill half the frakin team... anywaysy lol geek rage =D

A Stolen Life with Bette Davis, 1946.

I remembered reading in one of the Jobs threads a few days earlier how someone wanted to be a lighthouse keeper, and then as I was watching the movie, there was a scene at a lighthouse, where Kate and Bill, the lighthouse keeper, relate to each other. Ok, I had to go back and rewatch it just to write down the lines:

Kate: I don't mind being alone, but I don't like to feel lonely.
Bill: There's a difference, isn't there? You know, I don't mind being alone, either. In fact I deliberately took this job here to get away from too many people.

[Later in the scene...]

Kate: Lonely people want friends. They have to search very hard for them. It's difficult for them to find...
Bill: ...other lonely people

Anyways, great plot, great movie.

transformers 3: 9.5/10 ! Stunning, it gave me goosebumps all the time:D

Agree, awesome effects (the acting and plot is dubious though, but what the heck, it's a movie about giant robots)

Last movie I watched was Insidious

7/10 a nice twist on the old haunted house genre

Marley & Me - 7/10

It was a really cute, sad, and funny movie. Nothing else really to say about it.

The Crazies - 5/10

Really wasn't that good. It was kinda predictable to me and just blah. I think the only reason that made it worth watching was Timothy Olyphant.

I Am Legend. 8/10 until the last few scenes, 3/10 in the last few scenes.

Why did they have to ruin the ending? It's sooooo much better with the original. Next time don't listen to the audience! They're idiots! Oh wait........

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (the original Swedish version) 7.5/10

I just finished reading the book before watching the movie, which is always a bad move. They kept true to the base of the story, but a lot of little things were changed and that always bothers me. I was meh on the guy playing Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist), but the chick playing Lisbeth Salander (Noomi Rapace) was fantastic. She was almost exactly how I imagined Lisbeth would look and act. Rooney Mara is going to have her hands full with the new American version.
