The Capture of the Green River Killer - 10/10

It's a lifetime movie, or technically mini-series, but it is some of the best whatever I've ever watched. I remember I first saw it about three years ago and was floored by it. I remember it was three years ago because I instantly bought it from itunes afterwards, the only I've ever purchased.

First, Amy Davidson does an amazing job I think. She nails her character, and gives a powerful performance. Just really good, I love her character and real felt for her. And the writing, amazing. The way they make a serial killer movie more than a serial killer movie is amazing. I subtle drops of philosophy and religion, as well as quote that make you think is stunning. Just very well done.

Watched "IT" last week, forgot to post what I thought here.

Good acting, good story, not especially scary, but more than makes p for it in other areas. Seemed to lag a bit in the last quarter, but it was made as a two part television miniseries, so I won't complain about that too much, I probably should've watched them seperatley.

Overall, 8/10, I streamed it but it would've been well worth the cost of a DVD

It was fine, the acting was kinda bad and the storyline was limited and vauge. Nevertheless, it was quite entertaining and I'm looking forward to the sequal.

Saw 2
I have watched this film numerous times and I still love it now. It is fairly gruesome and graphic, with scenes of death and torture. However, the plot throughout all the Saw movies is impeccable and the chronology of the films makes them extremley interesting.

The Lazarus project

Paul Walker plays a man who looses everything and is apparently executed after he is found guilty of the death of three people. Then he suddenly wakes up as a groundskeeper at a mental institution and a strange conspiracy starts to unveil.

While the movie is kind of a slow burner, the premise is quite interesting and Paul Walker is really good as a man who starts to question his sanity. At the end the movie kind of just fades out, but the movie itself was pretty good and worth a watch. Just don't expect a lot of action. 6/10

The Hills Have Eyes, a good film, 7/10 until that point in the movie, which is in a lot of movies, where you see that one guy that goes all bad ass and merits a "Oh hell yeah, it's on now mother f-" from the audience. When that point comes, it's turned up to a 9.

Not for the faint of heart though, it contains quite a few killings, a bit of gore, and

SPOILER

A scene depicting rape which someone on the site said was unnecessary, I'd respectfully disagree because it adds a layer to the "baddies" which was not essential, but fairly significant to the story

Zombieland - 8/10

Definitely better than I thought it'd be. The only thing I didn't like was what the character(s) sometimes did. There were scenes where I was like, "Why didn't they take the car?" or "You should've picked up the gun while you were running by it!" Oh, and another thing I couldn't get over was the many times when Colombus didn't have his gun loaded. I mean, it's a zombie apocalypse. Always have your gun loaded.

The A team

Second time I watch this, first saw it in the cinema. Great and fun action romp. A+

The last 2 films I watched.

Nightmare on Elm street 6/10, not amazing but not terrible

The last house on the left: Umm, was I watching the wrong film? This certainly didn't live up to the hype, I guess if I hadn't heard about it beforehand it might have been a bit scarier, but come on, not that gruesome. But I did enjoy the other elements of the film, so 6/10

A spanish film about the last prisoner executed in Spain under Francos rule. It was quite good and the garrote execution at the end is brutal. Daniel Bruhl plays the main lead very well. 8/10

"The descent", thanks to Coyote for recommending.

Got off to a good start, the tension was good, reveal was good, after the reveal..... fleh. It was like someone decided all the film needed was a jump scare every 5 minutes to make the audience piss their pants. I will admit I had a moment where I had to look away from the screen, one of only two I can remember (For anyone interested, the first time was the teeth dream scene from "Last house on the left") and it had to do with a broken leg. I obviously hate bones and teeth then.

Sorry to make this a full blown review lol, but there were loads of things that came to me while watching it. There was a scene (SPOILER) Where a woman pushed one of the.... adversaries (I won't give away who the bad guys are) she pushed his eyes out with her thumbs. And I thought "ooh, that's like in 28 days later". Then I realised this film was 28 days later, in a cave, without the coolness and not as scary. And without the bonus of arguing with people about the difference between "infected" and "zombified".

This film was a massive disappointment to me, I expected much better. I'd say it would be 3/10, but a sexy Asian woman kicking arse who's amount of cleavage rose tremendously after the brown stuff hit the fan brings it up to a 4.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part Two
Um...8/10
My sister and I got to the theater two hours early so we could get good seats. It was almost packed when we got there. If I hadn't had to sit for 2 hours before the 2+ hour movie, I might have enjoyed it more. But I couldn't wait for it to end. Objectively, it was a pretty good movie; one of their better ones. They did change a couple of things from the book that peeved me a little, but they never stay truly faithful.

I liked all the action action action. But I can never forgive JKR for her cruelties. :p

I really liked The Descent. I thought it had a genuinely creepy and claustrophobic atmosphere to it, and I found the ending quite bleak and depressing. (In a good way, if you see what I mean.)
