I'm underage and my roommate is underage, but I found out yesterday that he keeps a case of beer under his bed... not sure how to react.

No.... I don't drink, and I couldn't really give two s**ts if he drinks, I just don't want to get in trouble for it. The campus handbook thing isn't exactly clear on their alcohol policy.
The rules say that "we" could get in trouble for having alcohol containers in the room. That's all I know. I don't know if they'd care to hear me deny any involvement.

Yeah, it's going to be devastating. Let's hope you move away before it strikes. I don't really know the feeling of an earthquake, as Australia doesn't sit on the edge of a faultline. No, all we get are bushfires, heatwaves, and, if you live in the north of the country, cyclones and flooding.indeed. eep. i don't have an emergency kit prepared or anything. :x i need to get crackin' on that. at least i only have myself and my kitty to worry about.
the BIG ONE is something that i have no desire to experience. stay relatively calm, faults -- at least until i move far away.

I didn't feel it either. I remember the 89 quake here. I was in carseat mom driving and barely felt it and heard on radio. The big ones supposed to be down south anyways.

I think people sometimes forget that they are dealing with other human beings, not just objects or robots.......
yep. i'm across the bay from SF, a few miles south of berkeley.
i'm sure this is nothing to long time residents, but it's still a bit of a novelty to me. and at the moment... a little nerve wracking.
