I met my roommate today. He thinks he's a G THUG STRAIGHT UP YO!

I feel like "normal" people are just as crazy as anyone else, but there's just so many of them that no one notices anymore.

Ah well, having fun regardless. ;)

I may go back to my old routine of doing facial regularly and learning about healthy lifestyle and eating. :p .. its something to do.. & doing that thing I said I'd do for the millionth time

Saturday night at the movies. A 20km run tomorrow, and then siesta.
Siesta.... one of the most used spanish words in the world, along with paella, amigo and a lot of things I cannot say in a moderated forum

Spain is different :D

I hate how my dad turns the tv volume up when I try to talk about anything. I suppose we'll never get along.

What topics does he enjoy? Experiment? See what happens when talk is about what he finds fascinating, interesting.

It may be hard to really care what another has to say, even within family, when distance is in the between. Someone has to break the ice, yes?

Well I try to, but he doesn't want to say much. I guess he's too focused on other things.

Poppycock!

You have a voice! If you need his attention you can get it. If you want to just talk make a stern stance. These words you wish to talk with him about are important. Interfere with this focused attention.

Maybe try a different time? (The older generation can be obsessed about news or certain TV shows... If he's tired when he comes from work too, that can be a factor..)

My dad can be sensitive to any 'criticism' (real or perceived, of him or others...) but he likes talking about certain topics, we may not always agree though... So if there are any 'difficult topics' maybe save them for when you are both more in the mood/relaxed and have time... Maybe your dad even has sa and doesn't know how to talk to own kid?
