These days I'm not having a lot of contact with people. I don't want to. Like, yesterday, someone was at my door, ringing the bell three times. I couldn't think of anyone doing that whom I like. Normally, if friends want to meet me, they phone me first, send me a message on my smartphone, a mail or anything like that. I assumed that it were my ex-boss and ex-coworkers (there is a carnival going on they are taking part, and I assumed they were drunk and in the area).
Or today, my phone rang. I don't know why. I didn't recognize the number. Friends normally don't phone me.
If you feel that someone is feeding their own ego and pretending to not notice. Is it okay to be harsh with them or should you just repeat the same conversation with them over and over and hope that they one day understand?
I mean if they turn other conversations round so they end up being about the same subject. Surely they are really bothered by the subject. What if you think they are starting to bother other people and just won't take a hint?
I have this (possibly irrational) fear I'm going to be single for life. Maybe it's just the residual feelings from being passed over in high school until my senior year (and that boyfriend only lasted two weeks).

For some people, disagreement is just fuel for the fires of their self-righteousness.
Just came back from shopping and two things of note happened. While I was getting ready to cross the road, a boy and a girl drove by laughing and looking at me. Somehow, I get the feeling that I was the joke, but my "other self" is arguing against it. The second thing that happened was that, as I was nearing my house, a couple driving by stopped and asked if I needed a ride somewhere. I mean, this isn't the first time this has happened, so I wonder if there is something about me that makes people want to help me or if people are nicer than I think. It's odd though: whenever I want to be social, everyone treats me like the plague and refuses to associate with me, but, when I want to be left alone, I become the target of everyone's attention:giggle:.
