Why is it that when it comes to conflict, it's so much easier to ignore instead of confront?

Do you mean like adding pictures of cute bunnies or adding meaningless dialogue to detract from the actual issue?

Probably because people like feeling comfortable and included within the status quo, or perhaps it invokes feeling that people are not used to - or admitting something to themselves that they do not like.

It is fear. That is what it ultimately boils down to.

hope everyone in the Northeast US is doing okay in the wake of Winter Storm Nemo

the Boston area got 3 feet of snow (93 cm)

i wonder if Opaline has a shovel

Thank you coyote for adding the conversion to metric for us "other folk":bigsmile:
I have also been wondering how Opaline is faring with the blizzard too

Just had a really bad grocery shopping experience.
The worst in ages in fact. I have no idea why, that is what gets me down. Just when you think you could never go back to how bad it used to be, Bam! it is back with a vengence for no reason :/

Just could not cope with things going wrong. I have not been that fragile in years. I kind of think my nerves are getting close to breaking point, which scares the hell out of me.

sorry to hear that

you can always talk to me if you need to

You too Bluedays? Some of my worst life experiences have been in supermarket aisles and checkouts.

We have quite a few people in Nemo's path (vj, Phoenixx, etc.). I hope they are all doing okay. Nemo is vicious.

this makes me sad, too

what's the deal with grocery stores?

Had my first panic attack in the aisle of a supermarket, my second in a bookshop. The most frightening thing I have ever gone through. Busy shopping centres are like hell, too many people, too much stress, thoughts out of control, too much sensory overload. Christmas and holiday times are the worst.

Hasbro is being kind of a jerk.

They've now shut down two multi-year, non-profit, voluntary, Pony game projects. I can't even imagine how bummed the devs must be. To have multiple years just jerked out from under your feet.

They were legitimate great games too.

I had a weird zombie dream last night, which was almost film length in content... I actually woke up three times during it and had it pick up again from the same exact place... Still, it had a satisfactory ending... I got to go and live in between some ancient stone hands which were surrounding a large spring, as apparently the zombies couldn't walk where there was flowing water... Though there was one particularly scary part where a singer from a band I know and I were in the middle of a large town square (except it was under ground) with zombies all around us! The only thing we could do for safety was stand on a manhole cover (as we knew there was water beneath it) and hug tightly to make sure all parts of our bodies were confined within the area of the water. The zombies still managed to grab us a little, but not much and then finally the other group of people we were with all appeared and started burning the zombies with flamethrowers...
