How Long Has It Been Since Somebody Called You?

It just occurred to me today that it has been ages since a family member or a friend has called me just to talk. My wife get's calls from her friends and relatives but rarely do I. My phone calls mostly have to do with business and that's it. Admittedly a few quick texts and Facebook help those who were once close to me apprised of how I'm doing. Honestly, it doesn't bother me all that much that nobody calls. When the phone does ring and I recognize the number is somebody calling for me, I get all anxious anyway. It must have been a good 8 months since I have had somebody in my personal life call me. What about you?

like the saying goes:

laugh and the whole world laughs with you ; cry and you cry alone.

Man, i have been alone for sometime now and it's clear this is no way of living..i am becoming psychotic. I need that medication and anxiety coping techniques and go out of my and meet people for at least a couple hrs everyday.

Besides family, every time something breaks, jams, won't start, leaks, etc. I have since put an end to that.

Hrm, just to chat? Other than my partner when he is out of town, no one has called me to chat in years. That's perfectly fine with me!

funny how that it goes for me I sometimes wish someone would call just to talk maybe laugh, but as soon as I do get the call I often get annoyed at the stupidity that oozes out of some peoples mouth, I quickly remember why I don't really talk on the phone and a wave of relief and satisfaction comes over me.

Most learn quickly that I'm not fond of chatting over the phone. Disembodied voices aren't like voices with faces.

I phone once a week with my mother. Otherwise I use the phone mostly for texting. In matters of text messages from people I know I can't complain.

Just today and yesterday - sometimes I go for a week (or weeks) without talking on the phone, but lately people became a bit chatty? :)

I read somewhere that women often have a wider social network and are more interconnected than their husbands...

These days, it's mostly my parents who call me. My friends and relatives, rarely. Even I get more calls from advertisers/telemarketers than from my friends and relatives combined.

Thanksgiving and a little after Thanksgiving I talked to a friend. I hate talking on the phone and mostly communicate over Facebook.
