seeing how i am in college it has been a few weeks it becomes a habit though for people in college to always have a type of communication

I have both although I'm seriously considering getting rid of the land line. It seems pretty useless since what little calls I make are with my cell phone. I have a bundle with my provider that provides cable, internet and a land line all in one. If I can remove the phone and have my monthly bill come out a little cheaper then it's, bye-bye land line.

my alcoholic roommate calls me everyday to pick him up some vodka, which I never do... besides him, it's been a few weeks

My parents call me from time to time, I don't know if that counts. My friends though rarely call me. Sometimes we text each other to say merry christmas happy new year, but that's about it. Just today, I got a call from some suspicious number 25363827 - looked it up online, looks like a scam. Makes me realize I get more phone calls from telemarketers/scammers than from all my friends combined!

Same here. That realization really sucks.

My online friend calls twice a week. I don't have a phone (no one calls me besides her), so I have to borrow my mom's phone.

I used to have a phone a few years ago (2008, I think), but got rid of it because no one called.

same here guys, I generally have no calls from my friends but I guess it's because I have always been neglecting my phone, i mean i rarely call people myself, unless it's an emergency situation. Im a student, i have lots of friends and i would like to think about myself that im sociable but i just dont like talking nonsense other than face to face lol. I dont know why but whenever i talk to my friends normally i am ok with talking nonsense. But when it comes to phone or facebook, i get this extreme feeling of guilt that im wasting my time like severely. Some of my friends, especially girls receive dozens of messages a day, when i think about that happening to myself i think i would just succumb to the numbers immediately and ignore every1. I dont really know what to make of this though sometimes i feel that my friends are having more fun and enjoying themselves more and it makes me kinda sad but at the same time i dont think that i could be dedicating so much time to them 🙁

I have one friend who’s always stayed in touch with me, ever since high school. We usually talk at least every other week. Besides him, it’s been a while.

If anyone wants to PM a complete stranger their phone number, I’ll call you. ha ha

The only person who ever calls me to talk sometimes is my mother, but that's just because I'm far away right now. Other than that, basically no one ever. I don't even know if anyone has called me just to talk before, or otherwise really.

The real question is: do you want to be called more often?
