Anyone else just feel like there is nowhere at all they fit in?

I wans't so bad at school, as I had a few friends and people I'd hang around with or play football with, but since then just feel out of place all the time.

- Didn't feel right at university, because everyone else seemed to quickly form into groups and I was just on my own for the whole 4 years.

- Didn't feel right at work. Tried to make conversations and such, but always felt really forced. Didn't get invited to any of the group things they did really. Even if I was standing there when they were organising it.

- Don't even really feel right at home a lot of the time.

I've tried things like joining online communities, like I'm a member of forums for books I like and things like that, and a member of a "gaming clan". But again, even though it's been years, I don't really know anyone there at all. I'll say "hello" and might get a "hello" back on a good day, but that's it. They all get on very well and find it easy to chat to one another, but whenever I try and join it it seems forced and usually get ignored.

Even in a community of people with these similar social/shyness problems it's the same.

If you've experienced this..did you ever manage to find somewhere where you felt at home? Or are you still pretty much on the outside looking in?

You're not alone. I've always felt like this aswell. Not matter where I am or where I go I always feel like an outsider.

I still feel like an outsider on here. Most of the time I'm lurking in the background making the odd rubbish post here and there. No one talks to me and I don't really talk to anyone on here. I just don't know how to.

I'm still trying to find somewhere where I feel at home.

Extremely nervous... I'm attempting to go see a movie tonight.
It's been 3 years since I was able to go to a theater and apart from the expensive tickets, ripoffs at the snack bar, cold/dry air, blasting speakers, sweaty summertime crowds, dirty bathrooms, sticky floors and squeaky/uncomfortable seats... I really miss it. I'd like to be able to sit and watch a movie again since that was one thing I enjoyed in the past.
I'm not expecting much though- haha
For now, i'll just think of it as exposure and if it's too much, I'll just come home.
It's cheap night, afterall... won't be that much of a waste of money. Just half as much as usual. lol
XD

Like sleeping all day.

But, I need to get off my lazy rear and do something constructive instead of laying around and doing nothing. I've been trying to make "To-Do Lists" every morning for the last few days, just so I can keep off the computer and try and get myself motivated. It's only somewhat working. :p
