How are you feeling?

Aw, that really sweet of her, to give you that cinema gift card for yer birthday. I take it, since you enjoy spending time with you, you'll be going to see a movie together? If it settle the nerves any, don't think of it as a date as such. Yer just going to see a movie with yer friend.

Though, I'm guessin' you've not told her that you, uh, fancy her, yet? Sorry, don't mean to sound like an inconsiderate arsehole by that choice o' words, there. Very matter of fact, wasn't it? Hope I've not offended ya, in sayin' that? :eek:mg:

I think you're right, it's not a date. And no, I haven't told her that I like her that way yet, and I'm not planning on doing that as I only want her as a friend. Also, don't worry, I wasn't offended :)

you are an amazing person

i believe you could do anything you truly wanted

Yours is one of the most powerful, helpful voices on this forum Coyote. I'm sure you have/can achieve heaps too. If someone ordinary like me can achieve what I have, others suffering anxiety can too.

Oh I am sorry. I feel the same way. I just started to learn how to play the bass which I am super excited about. It is helping me stay afloat mentally right now.

What might you be able to do to help you from this happening? Learning a new instrument can be really fun and challenging plus keeps your mind off depressing crap.

I can't wait to get an amp!

Hey, that's great though. The bass is awesome.

It does help - I've actually bought a piano keyboard two years ago. But I'm afraid I can't use it that much. The dexterity in my right wrist and hand is rather steadily deteriorating, which makes it really difficult to hit the right keys even when I do it slowly.

Being a natural lefty, trying to make my other hand more dominant (when it's also hurting and embarrassingly inaccurate) is more frustrating than I can handle in my current mental state.

I'm sorry to hear this, mate. I don't really know what to say to help you here. I hope you find something to interest you.

That's alright. Thanks. ;) I'm sure something will come up, it usually does.

Woke up from 2 nightmares this morning. The second dream was about a zombie apocalypse. The last thing I heard was the screams of a prof. After that I was sorta afraid to fall asleep again.

Hey Puma,
Oh I am sorry dear..I know the feeling. I have tendonitis so I am thinking my bass playing days are numbered but I want to at least try to see if I can do it anyways. I spent an hr throwing the frisbee for my dog yesterday and I was in serious pain last night couldn't sleep just from doing that. There are so many things I want to do but pain is a real issue so I know somewhat of where you're coming from *hugs*

Aw... shite! Ah hope that isnae the case, April. Would a shame to huv to give up the bass, just as yer startin' to learn it. Though, it's understandable if somethin' like that stop ya, playin'. But if yer hands start to hurt while playin' the bass, stop playin' - not entirely, just for a wee while. Don't play for hours on end, just to learn how to play - ah made that mistake maself. Naebody telt me when ah started play guitar, age 14, that playin' for 2 hour might being riskin' repetitive strain injury. :idontknow: Just sayin'... don't give up but don't strain yer hands, either.

I feel a little bit insulted. I just tried to share my interests, but people seem to have no time for it what so ever. It's always the same old song; the hand that reaches out is always pushed away awkwardly.

It feel like an alien in my own direct environment most of the time. As though my identity is being challenged. It's probably going to remain a uphill challenge for some time.

Not really news, but a chilling reminder non the less.

Irritated. Screw humanity.

Eh, whit the f**k's wrang wi' you...?!* (*English translation: Excuse me, but what's wrong with you?)

Sorry, speakin' ma muther tongue, there.

C'mon, what the matters, darlin'? Ye took umbrage* - that means offense - tae summit? Or are people just annoyin' ye? If so, tell 'em tae "F - star, star, star, star OFF!" Or words to that affect, anyway.

It's a drag - you get excited about something and then it's taken away from an unexpected angle. But hey, adaptation is a key part of life I suppose. While playing music may not be an option, listening to it is still possible.

Knowing how to play- even a little bit, at least gives us the ability to appreciate music in a way we wouldn't have been able to if we never touched an instrument at all.

^ Indeed! Might piss off more than a feminists though...?

But thanks for the reminder, Coyote. Ah've been meanin' tae buy this offensive t-shirt:

^ Eh, too much...? Ah thought it'd be quite ironic wearin' this in public to a comedy show, for example, given that ah've got cerebral palsy & use an electric wheechair. Or is that too risque? Some c**t could miss the irony n' f**kin' lamp me yin (punch me, in other words)

Ah really should be in ma bed now, but am no' tired. Insomnia's a right pain in the backside. Ah know that's tame, considerin' ah suffer from coprolalia.

4 days only two small bottles of Pepsi Max in that time. Anxiety today was much improved. Less impatient, less angry, less emotional, less fearful, more relaxed, able to talk more easily with people. Drank about 600ml at lunch time and my anxiety increased in the afternoon. No withdrawal headaches, but a massive drop in energy, this also improved today.
