I think its the other way around,people want to be monogamous or appear to be for some reason,but in the practical way they cant be,I could be wrong,but I would guess people are getting much more promiscuous and cheating more.

Yes and no. it's natural to some but it's not to other. I personally don't think it will ever be natural to me, at least not now. It seem im always defying what is socially accepted lol

But I dont mean that it desn't work or is perfectly fine for people who choose it.
It seems to be the most acceptd way.
But that doesn't mean THE way.
many possibilities is the way.
Some poeople feel because its the most accepted way that they have to do this, and then cause break ups by "cheating". If they were honest with themselves that wouldnt need to happen, in that way.

yeah, i kinda figure that we're not really biologically programmed to be monogamous....if that's what you mean. if i'm in a relationship with someone, being the possessive boy that i am i like to have them all to myself...sometimes. i also like exploration of relationships with other people. but yeah. anyway.

I don't believe humans were designed to be monogomous. However, I love my wife and would never do anything to break the trust we put in each other (until she files for divorce because I drive her mad). It is in our own hansd how we want to play the game of life. Whether we want to adhere to society and be monogomous or revert back to our natural state and create a harim of women around us.
By the way I also think people reward cheaters and promiscuity,so this attitude is bound to continue and grow.
Yeah, I agree. It's probably not natural...we're always looking for something better than what we have. But that's not to say it can't work, I don't think you can use that argument as an excuse. You have morals hopefully, you don't always have to obey your instincts.
You've evolved past that. That's the difference between us and animals, we're not slaves to our instincts.

I don't think it's natural for people to be monogomous. I think it's possible for people to be in monogomous relationships though.
