Your mental health can affect yer physical health, right?

Just asking as I've not being doing to fab, lately. And woke up 2 days ago, and as I got outta bed, I saw that my big, left toe turned red, and had become swollen and sore to touch. Wondering if it could be due to the stress of having my older sister and her kids currently staying with my mother and I? :idontknow:

So it's been ~2 weeks since I received my textbook from Amazon. It's called The Essentials of Strength Training and Conditioning and I've got 17 chapters left to read before I skim over the whole book again and analyze it more intensely.

Dear future me: If you're reading this again in 2018, you had better have finished the book.

I have so few friends, I want to be accountable to someone other than myself so that's why I post here.

If you intend on taking notes (which I'm sure you are), the color yellow improves your memory. I learned in my psychology class that using yellow legal pad will help you remember your notes.

That's definitely something I've never heard of so I'll have to take your suggestion into consideration, thank you! On a side note I read somewhere that cinnamon improves concentration. I had a jar of raw cinnamon powder I kept sniffing into while I read my last chapter but I cannot tell you for certain the potentcy of this method.

Hmm, that's interesting - I have never heard of that either. It's worth a shot, I guess. At least cinnamon smells good haha.

It doesn't have to be legal pad - yellow paper will work. The topic arose from talking about fast food chains and their use of red and yellow in their logos/resturants - red makes you hungry and yellow makes you remember. Anyway, my psychology teacher suggested it.

Or ... it could be a fungal infection

Could be? I've got a follow-up podiatry appointment next week, so I'll know what wrong then. It's just irritating I've had issues with my big left toenail since March, when my oldest sister was bit rough in getting some hard skin near the corner of my toenail removed.

But I'd dare not point that out, cuz she'll tell me that I'm being ungrateful. :idontknow: Even though I'd be telling the truth.

Masquerade as maker
Heavy is the crown
Beaten down and broken
Drama wears you down
Overload, the martyr stumbles
Hit the ground and heaven crumbles
All alone the fear shall humble
Swallow all your pride

All you bear
All you carry
All you bear
Place it right on
Right on me

Die as you suffer in vain
Own all the grief and the pain
Die as you hold up the skies
Atlas, rise
How does it feel on your own?
Bound by the world all alone
Crushed under heavy skies
Crushed under heavy skies
Atlas, rise

Wake to face the day
Grab this life and walk away
War is never done
Rub the patch and battle on
Make it go away
Please, make it go away

Some days I have a harder time believing myself when I say everything is ok. I don't know if I am lying to myself to avoid facing tough realities, or if this is just how the battle with depression is going to be my whole life. That I need to convince my emotions that the things I do are good for me and should make me smile, be happy, and feel good.

It just sucks, whatever the hell my problem is.

I find it hard to relate to Freud. It seems like he was overly sexual (ie obsessed with genitals). Or was i under-sexual? I sure can't recall ever having thoughts like Freud! (as a child).

And philosophers in general - it's almost like they make up their own words & language, just so they feel important & superior (ie so the average person will have trouble following what they write).

I am learning about this in school right now. Psychoanalytic theory is indeed sexual. Freud was thought to be homosexual, so applying early psychology such as structuralism (which is about introspection), he may have been reflecting on his own feelings about his sexual desires and because they were repressed, they were more prominent to him thus helping develop his theory. That's just my thoughts on it, though.

My two and a half year old niece seems to like me. No idea why... :idontknow: I don't really talk to her much.

But she seems to like opening my bedroom door, saying "Hello, uncle Grae-um!" and showing me her latest toy. Or watching me play my guitar, just observe me while I sit typing away at my laptop. And she acknowledges me when I come downstairs, if she hears me making my way down.

Though, today, she did something quite cute... When she said bye to me to go back downstair, I responded to her with: "Bye, see ya later" and gave her a thumbs up. And she did the same gesture back to me and giggles, then made her way quickly downstairs.

Being poor and not being able to afford land is an awful feeling, especially when you have seen someone rich completely not appreciate land. I would do anything for 100 acres of my own land.
smh
I wish I could just be happy in a shittyapartment or house in some crowded city.

^100 acres of western australian bush with thousands of wildflowers and orchids to call my own, my friends the flocks of Cockatoos flying above and landing in Karri and Jarrah trees, a view of the Ocean, or at least not far to drive to it. A permanent divorce from people. At least I can enjoy dreaming about it. Maybe one day.

A full 88-key electric piano keyboard isn't required to play iconic title scores from movie soundtracks. is it?
61 keys should be enough, right?
