Just watching a news bullentin: Syrian refugees, violence at Donald trump rallies, another massacre at a resort on the Ivory Coast. The human species is insane. I wish I was a bird and could fly away from all this.

The thing I notice most about the younger generation is that they have very little sense of humor. They seem like very serious people.

Aye, I noticed that when ah got into an argument with my cousin who took offense at a joke by a Scottish comedian we both like. All because this comedian made reference to the Scottish town where my cousin lived. And it wasn't even a joke saying any bad about the place in question.

Coming home and chatting with 3 people at the same time doesn't feel that bad. I didn't like doing it before because they'd take a while to respond and I wanted to do something else at the same time (like playing games) so I had to pause all the time. But now that I'm not trying to do something else and I'm getting to know these people, I feel like it's actually fun. And practice does make perfect, I'm able to keep conversations going better now.

I think my next step will be to try to reconnect with my old friends who I hang out with but don't talk to much otherwise.

When I can't create something I feel worthless. I'm in such an artistic rut right now.

Have you tried easier platforms as a temporary outlet until you get your mojo back? When I'm not particularly artsy I jump into games like Minecraft or other creative sandboxes to just do fun, easy, inconsequential stuff. Kinda like a virtual zen garden I guess.

It's not quite the same - but it avoids hitting creative rock bottom.

I'm feeling better, I blew the dust off some unfinished work to get back in the groove.

I feel bad I said something awful about someone, a few things actually. Least I only said it to one person in confidence but I still feel like crap now.

When your internet friend doesn't reply straight away - "I knew it, I must have said something wrong, they don't like me anymore".

When they do eventually reply - "I knew there was nothing to worry about".

100% true.

One of the things I hate most about myself is my need for validation and how much other people's actions effect how I feel. :kickingmyself:

I used to be angry that I was on all the homeless databases. Now i'm pleased because I will be able to get more support. The supply of housing is not sufficient for a million of reasons. Successive governments have scandalously neglected housing.
