So.. It's Friday and I want to do a little shopping.. hit a restaurant and get something to eat, maybe a few drinks so I won't be so shy and then, well.. what ever comes to mind after that. The only thing that bothers me is the dread of what types of people I will end up running into before the night is through. I just know that SOMEBODY will end up ruining it for me.

Can I just vent for a sec? I hate how when you message someone on FB it tells you whether it's been read or not (or if you read theirs.) I think it's anxiety causing.
I messaged my sister to tell her I have some hand me downs for her daughter, and to let me know if she was interested. I know she read it, but didn't reply. Why? Is it really that hard to say "yeah, bring it by" or "no, not interested." In the mean time I have boxes cluttering up my dining room. Next time I'll just take it to Goodwill and avoid the anxiety.

Pretty sure Mark Zuckerberg is the devil's second cousin. Every intricacy of Facebook has been carefully designed to evoke anxiety. Telling you if the other person has read your message, vice-versa, being tagged in pictures you never wanted to see the light of day, clicking the like button by accident, the obnoxious liberal agenda, feeling socially obligated to add people. Fricking FOMO.
You just highlighted some of the reasons I deleted my facebook over two years ago. God, Dot, why can't I have you as a neighbor?

I hate that it shows it too, because sometimes I look at things just in passing and intend to reply when I have time and I worry about what they are thinking. But then if I see that they see it and dont reply I worry about why they arent replying! :kickingmyself:
My brother actually won that machine in a lottery. It was pretty neat.

I suppose the fact that they call it "social media" should have been a tip off for me to leave it alone:thinking:, lol!
That'd be great, see, cause I'm like atticus: I'm the typical dude next door with kids. And come to think of it, the older two act quite a bit like scout and jim. I also had to shoot a rabid dog once like atticus did in the movie.
