How are you feeling?

The feeling of eyes on the back of my head constantly; like I get when I'm in public.

And that happens because the people who are looking at you are one of two people,
1, Men that find you attractive (I've seen your pic and you can not deny it).
2, Women who are jealous of the way you look (or they too find you attractive).

or 3) people who want to murder me and wear my skin like a suit.

I've had more than my share of those.

I haven't felt this truly joyful in a long time. It's all I can do to stop myself from walking around with a big goofy grin on my face (don't wanna freak anyone out :D).
Awesome, Lyra! I hope that continues forever!

gave away my kitten today. she used to lie in bed with me and groom me at night. feel like puking.
Aww, that's sad. What was the reason for giving her away? It's never a nice thing when a pet has to go, especially if you were very fond of it.

Our longest-surviving cat lived to be 21 and died last year. I was very fond of her and I know what it's like. Sorry to hear, mate.

ahh... I'm usually a bit on edge and anxious to begin with.
I just feel like I'm being watched tonight--- so... over the edge more than normal and more paranoid. The feeling of eyes on the back of my head constantly; like I get when I'm in public.

They say when you feel like you're being watched, it's your guardian angel sitting with you;)

Those who feel watched in public feel so because they ARE being watched :D

Once I didn't get much sleep and I had a clear stream of thought. I came to this "brilliant" conclusion:

The reason why people give you weird looks and make you feel like something's wrong with you might be their body's own way of expressing THEIR lack of self-esteem when faced with someone as attractive as you.

Have you ever thought that they might actually be intimidated not by your uglyness, but by your attractiveness? I've had girls giving me that weird look like something was wrong with me. I knew I looked socially inadequate but that didn't help  I found out from my mom that they were interested in me but too scared to approach me because of the cold vibe I gave off...

And for those of you who are really ugly (doubt it) - sorry for you lot, you just have the wrong coordinates for this dimension :D

Anyone who suffers from depression should read this. It's a little long but trust me it's worth it!

Sorry for posting it here but I didn't think it was worthy of a new thread.

I feel like I can't be around other people at all lately without my anxiety skyrocketing. Thought I was going to freak out this evening just sitting watching movies with my sisters. Ugh.

I loved it when I read it. Someone on my Facebook linked it and I couldn't not share it. Thank you for reading it. :)

Sorry to hear that, Sweet Marie. At least you didn't freak out, which is something.

I'm going to Sydney soon for a buck's night, which is going to include nightclubs, stripclubs, and bars. I'll be the sober one as I'm driving, but I'm really not looking forward to it. I'm getting a little anxious thinking about it.

Someone, quick, kill me!!

Thanks MikeyC. :) I won't kill you, but I will wish you luck with the guys' night out. Perhaps you will end up enjoying it more than you anticipate! Other than that, how are you doing?

Thank you! I hope so, but I'm just anxious they'll try to throw women onto me. My mate likes to do that, even though I've told him about my love-shyness. I might still have fun, but only time will tell.

I'm doing okay. I'm constantly in the dumps, though, for reasons I can't really quantify, but I'll be beginning therapy soon and hopefully that'll be a step in the right direction for me.

Thank you so much for asking, Sweet Marie! Even a simple "how are you?" from people lifts me up a little bit. You are living up to your namesake of Sweet Marie for sure. :)

I can relate with it, too, but the ending to it I'm yet to experience. Thanks, Srijita. I hope it turns out well, too, but we'll find out in about 9-10 hours!

You're always so selfless and helpful on the forum, sometimes it's hard to remember that you are here for a reason other than just to try to cheer us up. :)
I'm glad to hear that you're starting therapy soon and I hope it helps a ton. Being down in the dumps really sucks. Please accept my virtual hug, and don't forget to get out and enjoy the lovely weather with some fun and free exercise.

I loved the line...."But trying to use willpower to overcome the apathetic sort of sadness that accompanies depression is like a person with no arms trying to punch themselves until their hands grow back."

I'm glad someone notices that. ::p:

Yeah, as soon as I get some cash together, therapy is happening. I've already picked out the place I want to go to and I know how much it's going to cost, so everything is in place. All I have to do is book an appointment.

Thanks for your concern! I'll accept your virtual hug. ::eek::

You're welcome. It was a great comic full of lines that are somewhat hilarious, but I can also relate to them on a sadder level.
