philip k. dicks 'now wait for last year' and the graphic novel series 'preacher' along with a few nonfiction (history, sociology) books I've started that I occasionally pick up for a chapter at a time.

I am currently reading Anathem by Neal Stephenson. I am soon to be reading Considering Phlebas, the start of a series by Iain M Banks. And just finished reading Altered Carbon by Richard K Morgan.

I'm reading Dead Man Docking by a hilarious author named Mary Daheim.

I have a bunch of classics I've been meaning to read but since becoming an English major, I've learned to appreciate my junk food whodunnit books more and more. The Madame Bovarys and Moby Dicks and Beowulfs and Animal Farms of the literary world are really amazing reads, but it's just nice to read something purely for fun without the book trying to throw you some deep symbolism and sh-t, once in a while.

When I was in elementary/middle I was addicted to the Fear Street series. I read every single one. I think it corrupted my fragile mind lol but they were awesome. Ever read them?

Yeah - don't remember many of them but that was a really good series. In fact, I have one in my bookshelf that I still read occasionally:

Now that you mentioned it, I think I'm going to go to Good Will and the local bookstores and see if I can find more to buy.

:D every single one was amazingly awesome... I'd recommend specific ones but it has so many in the series and I would read them like candy that I can barely remember their titles.
I definitely know I read that one though!

There are no children here by Alex Kotlowitz, for school. Its about two kids growing up in Chicago projects. Its pretty good. And reading Snuff by Chuck Palahniuk here and there. Its about a famous pornstar trying to break the the world record and have sex with 600 men on film.

Currently about 2/3 through James Bradley's Flyboys. Next I'll probably reread his Flags of Our Fathers, since I recently picked both books up at a book sale.

I wonder if asking Santa Claus for books about Sonderkommandos, concentration camps, or maybe Unit 731 would be inappropriate. I really need to stop reading about World War II. There's just so much that's so interesting.

I haven't been able to get to a book shop in the last week due to work so I'm re-reading an excellent book by Robert Ludlum called 'The Ambler Warning'.

After I've finished that I'll grab the next Jeffrey Archer book.
