This poll was made to ask political views and to not insult others for their views.

If I had to identify myself politically, I'd probably say I'm libertarian. Politics is certainly not one of my interests, however.

I used to be a far left liberal type.

But now I really don't give a sh1t, I hate human beings.

Science >>> politics

but most scientist are left wing liberals so i guess that's what I am.

I watch The Daily Show and Colbert Report and I find it more like a comedy show than news really. I guess I like political humor like those shows but could care less about the actual workings of politics? I don't know...ugh.

The most political activity I do is watch Reason.TV videos from my YouTube subscription. I don't plan to change that anytime soon.

ahh,...well... organization's not my thing really anyways

I just don't like being told what to do.

I tend to think that we have no control over politics even though we are made to believe we do. I just believe the events in the world are going to unfold as they do and their is nothing I can do.

Just as with religion, I don't believe in anything. The only thing I believe as far as politics go is that people should be able to do ANYTHING they want to do. As far as politicians go, I tend to agree more with the Libertarians, but I don't consider myself to be one.

center-left. I wasn't surprised the highest percentage (aside from those who say they don't care) was center-left. Despite the rants daily by the 'rights' and far 'rights' (biggest mouths yet). Most of us have leftist leanings, because we have some sense of community and fairness and caring.

Center left...

I was deeply upset when NZ voted in the national party (which is center right). They are already making life hard for the average NZ'er with all their crazy rules and laws. I wish the people of my country understood their history..... If they get in again I am leaving the country.

Left and right, being one dimensional, inadequately represent political views. "Left" could mean anything from communist to socialist to anarchist. A two dimensional graph is better.

The Political Compass (Not the best, some questions don't apply to certain countries and other topics aren't even mentioned, but it gives a general idea where you stand. I thought I would be a little more down and to the right, but it's close enough.)

The political compass is a good model, but the questions in the test generally favours left-wing views (the fact that G. W. Bush is shown as being almost as authoritarian as R. Mugabe is a proof of this). There aren't any questions about polygamy, prostitution, Muhammed caricatures and drug laws (or other stuff that would separate authoritarian from libertarian) either.

If anyone's plotting points on that graph, you can pencil me in at -5,-3.

I could have been more polarizing (polarized?) but it's hard for me to strongly agree or disagree with things. Mostly I'm just a Yes or No kinda guy, I guess.

In younger years I was more interested in politics, but the fact of the matter is that the ever-increasing population (both national and global) creates 'voter inflation.' I may live in a representative democracy (as do most of us), but with each passing day my vote is of less and less relative value.

Considering my small and dwindling power, it doesn't make sense for me to stress myself out over political debates or hot-button issues. My political power would have to be vastly increased for the political sphere to be worth my time (and sanity!).

That was fun, I guess. I do like being associated with Nelson Mandela, the Dalai Lama and Gandhi better than the others though I must say.
