I know, I'm just kidding around. I do think the trust system can go a long way though, like instead of censoring certain words, let them be used in good taste, etc.
FWIW, I personally have no problem with swearing.
looks like he set it up to arbitrarily filter out and send here any threads with specific words in the title, like "sex" and "suicide"
I was actually starting to wonder that. That would have been an awful lot of work to manually move all those threads. Also, threads like Post a Picture of Your Sexy Cat aren't exactly about anything sexual, so it seemed like it was automatic.

just like the swear filter, in it's current (slightly silly) iteration, filters out "j e r k" and any common english word with the letters "a n a l" in them - obviously set up to discourage porn bots and porn search engines from descending on us
It's pretty pathetic when you can't use words like ana1ogy without having to get past the swear filter. Why not just make the site PG already?:idontknow:

the main concern seems to be trying not to offend the sponsors who purchase advertising space here, NOT the views or opinons of the users
Uh-oh, they might get upset because somebody used the word j3rk in a non-sexual context.

For some reason I actually haven't seen any ads here lately - just blank space where they would be. I have Adblock Plus installed but I don't have any filter subscriptions because most of the time, I don't have a problem with ads. I just made a couple of custom filters to block some really annoying and intrusive ads. When I mouse over the icon it says nothing is blocked and I still saw no ads when I temporarily disabled it.
I would like to make a couple of suggestions for minor improvements, but I'm pretty sure it would fall on deaf ears anyway.
