sex scenes in films being watched with the parents. .how you deal with it?

Normally when im watching a sex scene in a film I dont find it awkward at all but when im watching a film with my parents when a sex scene comes on I don't know where to look, I end up leaving the room or giggling or going on my phone, I become extremely tense and uncomfortable. .im 21 and its been that way for a long time. I remember this time I was watching a film and I think my parents realised how un comfy it was making me feel and fast forwarded the film..I was wondering if anyone else experience d this and how do u deal with it

Same with me. I dont feel comfortable at all when a sex scene comes and parents are around. What I do is close the TV or mute it and show like I am texting someone on my mobile. Pretty weird situation.

Uh, I don't think many people in general want to watch a sex scene with their parents. It's generally seen as a very awkward position to be in, especially for the younger people.

I deal with this by avoiding watching TV with parents. It is just too uncomfortable and it seems these days these types of scenes come on a lot.

For me when it happens I just start talking about something totally different like what I seen in the news or ect as all it seems on tv is sex scene after sex scene can't watch anythink without it coming on and in stuff that don't make sense like a 12min gay sex scene in touchwood ok that wasn't really needed so just do what I do look away from the tv and just start talking about whatever and the sence finishes soon enough

I also feel uncomfortable when watching movies or TV shows with parents that are laced with sex scenes. Now I avoid watching R rated shows or movies with parents. But sometimes I can't help when such scenes come on and my parents are there so what I do is change to another channel and wait for the scene to end then I change back to the original channel. Just keep checking.

i hate it when this happens. i get tense and either turn down the volume if they're not able to actually see the screen, or change the channel and when i think it's over i'll change back, or i'll start talking about something random so they won't look at the screen. even if no one's around, i prefer not to watch those scenes so i might change the channel.
i hate when the tv show or movie is something i've not seen before and it happens cuz sometimes if they're watching it too and a scene comes on, i just freeze. if i've seen the movie or whatever before, i might remember and change right before it happens.

Doctor_who, I think this happens a lot to many people. It's worse when in a cinema because there's really nowhere to go.

these days these types of scenes come on a lot.
I disagree, actually. I've seen a lot of modern movies that don't have sex scenes in them. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I'm seeing a trend away from such things. Unless it's crucial to the plot, sex scenes should not really be in movies.

The only sex scenes I want to see are when I'm watching porn, or when I can act them out myself on a nice lady. :giggle:

Well, I find violence in movies to be a real problem for me. Sex scenes are only a problem when watching with the folks *awk*.

never had this problem - no doubt due to my advanced age

at the time i was at home watching movies with parents, there was no cable, no dvds, no vcrs, just network television - nothing too embarrassing in the edited for tv version of the movies we saw

I change the channel. Or my mom will. We do not watch them while in the same room. It's not very comfortable.

My solution exactly... even a stupid tampon ad or whatever will come on during the news.. it's like wtf can't I even watch anything without something awkward coming on lol

When I was a teenager and lived with my parents I never actually got to watch the sex scenes.... Basically what happened when one came on was, my father would clear his throat very loudly and send me out of the room to make a cup of tea!
I would hazard a guess that he felt embarrassed and that was how he handled it.

The other day, my dad was changing channels and stumbled upon a sex channel while the entire family was watching tv. There it was, full-blown uncensored porn. He left it on for 20 seconds or so as we were all laughing our asses off at the ridiculousness of it.

I think my family is a bit special.
