maybe she thought you had a kind face or she got some sort of good vibe from you and let the floodgates open.

that kind of thing is so flattering...to have someone vent to you bc they get a good vibe from you

Thats probably the case. When I first met her she was outside struggling with some equipment for an experiment on photosynthesis and I offered to help out. Not because Im nice, I just wanted to push all the shiny buttons on that science doohickey >:p

I'm currently fostering a big, extremely shy gray cat at my home. With a lot of love and gentle attention, he is slowly coming out of his shell and starting to act like a normal cat.

....now why can't someone do that for me?

I've tried fostering big, extremely shy gray people in my house. It just doesn't work. Mostly because big gray people are usually (usually, not always) aliens. And it's just such a culture shock for them. And let me tell you, they do not come potty trained.

In all seriousness, it would be nice, wouldn't it?

I think by 'fit' Tino meant 'hot'. (As in attractive, not whether she was sweating profusely. ;))

Lawlz. Gotta get caught up on your British slang, Pips ::p:

Here, you can borrow my pocket guide (errr, wait, did I say that out loud? *stuffs book in jacket*)

I keep having dreams about being back in high school. But even in my dreams I'm not sure what is going on because my brain keeps trying to tell me that I have already graduated high school and college. I wake up very confused.

I have them and I'm walking around in underwear, trying to cover myself up! (what's that all about?)

Is really hard to get my motivation to improve my social skills back when my father doesn't allow me to have a social life. I know that I must work on it to be ready for when I finally can live on my own, but as I said, is really hard to hang on to something that is at least two years away in the future.

A strange thing happened yesterday- at one point in my shift at my day job, a coworker said "Quiet down, you're screaming too loud!" And at my night job, a regular customer asked me why I'm so quiet, and whether I'm that quiet at home (of course, since I have no one to talk to). I don't know whether to be annoyed, or happy that people are at least acknowledging that I exist and trying to get me to talk. Neither was malicious or sarcastic, by the way, the first was just joking (again, not in a mean way), and the second just seemed genuinely curious (and probably baffled, because she's one of those people who barely stop talking). It just seemed strange because I hadn't heard that kind of comment in a while, and this time it happened twice in the same day.

Might need something like that if I actually get to go to Oxford next fall. Otherwise I may not have a clue what people are saying.

Ohhh... Vera Lynn... why don't people still sing like you these days?
Does anybody here remember Vera Lynn?
Remember how she said that
We would meet again
Some sunny day?
Vera! Vera!
What has become of you?
Does anybody else here
Feel the way I do?

People doesn't sing like that because it wouldn't sell well. She had really a beautiful voice.

Went to see a doctor for an interview today (about a matter I haven't quite filled you guys in on yet. It was business related, not health related. But that's not really relevant at this time).

She told me, when compared to other patients with the same condition, that I show clear signs that are often associated with autism.

She continued to say that it's not unusual for autism (or traits close to it) to cause a fearful response in kids that strongly endorse social phobia. It would explain a lot. Well, it is certain that I lean strongly to the autistic mindset, but because there's no absolutes to the human mind, there's certain intensity criteria your have to fit to be diagnosed with it. Which I didn't fit last time I got checked for it. Perhaps it's worth it to re-check it some time in the future, just to make sure.

This isn't the first time that it has come up. I believe it's about the 3th or perhaps even 4th time now. If anything, I find that good news. It somehow makes the confusion that has dominated my life as long as I can remember not quite as bad.

Feeling normal in being abnormal in a normal world, if you will.
