Irrational fears are so frustrating when you are completely aware of how untrue they are but it makes no difference in how you feel. There's this split between the logical, thought-processing part of your mind and the emotional, like they're at odds. They say anxiety is fueled by irrational thoughts and beliefs but sometimes I swear I'm not actively (or consciously?) thinking anything, but I feel bothered.
