The Love Boat isn't a corny 80's show--it's a cheesey 70's show. Major difference right off the bat. It's true that it eventually carried into the late 80s, but the spirit of it was always that of the 70's.

People are as bad at giving criticism as they are at taking it. "It's great" helps no one, especially if you're not treating it as great.

If it were great, you'd put 100 hours into that indie game or re-read that novel three times. If you didn't, you should critique why. No dev or writer aspires to be mildly interesting for 20 minutes or beloved by their two best friends and their mom.

Saw that a friend of mine I only talk to sporadically these days has gotten engaged and I was shocked. I'm happy for him but sad too because I have the feeling we'll talk even less now. Of course that isn't necessarily true but I don't want to bother him either. He'll probably be preoccupied. Le sigh. I want to congratulate him but I saw it on FB and it seems weird... I don't know.

And then all this other happy news from others, and I just feel like the Grinch who hates summer, or... something. I actually love summer but I've been avoiding invitations and dreading working and ruminating about anxiety a lot. Need a vacation from my mind.

Created a simple app for a project. It's very simple, it only has like 8 cities and it basically tells you the distance between the two you choose to compare, and shows where they are located on a map. So it's pretty much a poor version of Google Maps (that only occurred to me 30 hours after I had the idea). I also wanted to have a line between those two cities, but so far I haven't been able to do it.

Anyway, I think it looks pretty good. I'll post it after the project deadline.

Regarding the previous posts about "The Love Boat".... that show makes me wonder how the mustache was ever in fashion. :eek:mg:
Apart from the sight of a bushy mustache making me cringe, I imagine it would be just annoying to kiss someone with a big bushy mustache.
Can anyone enlighten me on how it feels to kiss a guy with a bushy mustache?

Probably similar to kissing a girl with a bushy tw.... - Oh hey! Australia knocked Sweden out of the world cup! - ...what were we talking about? moustaches? yes, nose hair gone rampant, I believe :thumbup:
