So true, so true. We sit at this site and beat ourselves up for not being social but from what I observe out in public average people arent all that social, especially in healthy ways. I hear sooooo many average people out in public gossiping, b*tching and complaining constantly.
Why was it again that we should force ourselves to talk to these people? :-|
Gawd this reminds me of my last attempt at being "normal" in society-I met some total absolute nut-cases and happily went home (quit job) and have not looked back. I beat myself up sometimes for being a borderline agoraphobic but heavens, the gossip, back-stabbing and just plain lunacy of the masses is stunning!
Recently? Well... When ah tried to sell ma old laptop a last minute bidder changed his mind because he couldnae afford to pay for it.
And, more recently, I tried to sell some software for making CDs and DVDs, someone makes me a reduced price offer - which I accept - then the guy tells me he actually got the software from a friend. :idontknow: Why bother buyin' summit off eBay if yer jist time-wasting an' messin' the seller aroon? Remember the days when, if ye didnae pay fur summit within a week, you'd git banned from eBay...?

I have been out places where there are regulars that I see all of the time and everytime I have been around them the conversations they have ( since they allow themselves to talk so loud for everyone to hear) are everytime about the ex, financial problems, the crazy woman/man, etc.... OH the drama! Not exactly the kind of stuff that is going to make me be more social towards people. Most people in the world have some kind of problems and they think they are the only one in the world that does. It makes me feel like the help desk! :omg:

I like how you put that! It is stunning the way people act. And let's not forget boring. If I have to hear one more person talk about how their child is a "genius" I'm gonna blow up! Meanwhile the kid is running around screaming unintelligibly like a heathen.
I'm sorry, but most people are living dull lives. It's all the same over and over. School, work, kids, marriage. How very interesting, not.

You got that right! I get sick of hearing the problems. Sometimes you feel like sending them a bill after they talk to you for the therapy you have just provided.

It is hard for us to imagine what it would be like to see something amazing in nature and not have any idea why it is happening. I think it must have been very frightening living on this planet back before the explanations of science were available.

What is bad is that they don't even ask if I'm busy first anymore. They just start right in like I'm an employee!
And the irony is that the people who actually PAY me for my services are much more polite about it!
What the...? How?!?! I can't imagine. I gots ta do it everyday or I don't feel right.
I think I've only showered every day for one week of my entire life.
Our water heating is quite limited these days. My parents allowed a metered to be installed that limits water heating, at least at certain times of the day. And who knows, our water heater might not work that well these days.
We do at least one load of dishes every day which takes a lot of hot water. Then usually at least one load of laundry is done that uses hot water, sometimes 3 or 4. We don't have a whole lot of towels, and I don't have that many clothes, so that increases loads of laundry. My sisters usually takes 4-5 showers a week, sometimes 6. My dad takes 3.
Also, I am so tired and slow all the time, so it's really hard for me to compete with everything.
I feel like I am living a homeless lifestyle in a lot of ways, so I ask myself, what in the hell am I still doing here?
