Sitar maestro Ravi Shankar doing an ecstatic improv live at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967. You can see Jimi Hendrix grooving to him at 6:27.

It starts out with a really slow build-up, showing all the hippies in the crowd. By the middle of the second vid his hands are an inhuman blur.

This has been my favorite song for several years now. Even though I do enjoy meaningful/profound lyrics, I really don't mind what is being said. This song is about a Viking raid lol, but it's the music and vocals that I connect with. It might require some patience to listen to this...

Tonight I'm really feeling The Roots, been playing what I've named their 21st Century Trilogy, the three really tightly constructed albums Game Theory, Rising Down and How I Got Over that they released from 2006-2010 that have a general theme of the modern societal malaise.
