Is it hard for you to have hobbies?

Because you will get too obsessed with it that you will ignore your work/school/social responsibilities. Is life easier for you when you don't have a hobby?

I dont know I could live without my hobbies. If you have nothing fun to do after work what's the point in living? Well I guess I can stair at the plants and hang out with the cat.

My hobby is avoiding hobbies. I ignore school and work responsibilities anyways.

I don't think I could live without having a hobby. That would mean work or school all day, which would be hell.

I would categorize friends as a hobby.

Working out, riding a bicycle, and internet surfing (as i get older, playing PC or video games are lessened) are my hobbies. Still, i may need better hobbies to escape from same daily routine.

The more hobbies I have, the better! It'll help me feel satisfied with how I'm spending my life rather than being upset about not leaving my room.

In your 20s and beyond you will find out that life essentially is about money. Earning money. Paying bills, saving, spending most of your time working for supply and demand or for a service that comes down to money. No matter what job it is. The majority of ones life is exactly that. Spend a few minute looking at a money note and try to visualise how much of an influence it has over society in a very complex and extensive way.

Finding the time to include hobbies, education and interests in between all of that is difficult but not impossible. You have to really make the most of your energy to keep going after work and on weekends.

I find that I can't pay attention to a single hobby and I often leave it because I'm stuck doing a different hobby and goes to circles.

My only hobby now is videogames essentially. I used to be in to airsoft quite a bit. I used to be on one of the top teams in my town. Its funny, i can get hit with a 2mm plastic BB going 450 + feet per second, and it will hurt but it wont deter me, yet my anxiety got so bad that the thought of other people talking to me scared me away from it. I havnt played now in almost 3 yrs.

Ive never been much of a schoolwork person either. for me its work and home, thats about it. I still have all my guns and ammo and tac vests and such. I look at it and i want to put it on and go shoot people again (other player people! not like normal non-player people :p)

Id like to someday get back into airsoft again but i dont know if i ever will.

That's almost the same as me, except it was paintball instead of airsoft. I was a member of a team that is fairly well known among scenario paintballers in the north east US. We even had a few articles about us in paintball magazines. They recently got a big name sponsorship. I still have half a dozen paintball markers gathering dust next to my jersey with my name on it. One marker I invested almost a thousand dollars in.

I like computers, writing, reading and occasionly hanging out with a person i feel confortable with. Though we all need some time just to sit and space out... Keeping busy is good though sometimes it's nice to be just idle and sit and do nothing.

I cannot live without my hobbies. I wish I don't have to work so I can work on my own stuff. I sing, paint, video edit and do a little fiction writing

That's funny, I'm like the exact opposite. When I was younger I spent most of my time outside playing sports. Now, when I'm not working which isn't often because I work a lot of required overtime, I'm playing video games! Lol, I can't get enough of them.

Hobbies are important, I think. Having something constructive to do to keep yourself busy can be helpful in keeping away boredom, depression, a feeling of uselessness...

Constructive hobbies, I find-- are far more useful (I mean... productivity wise) than hobbies that cost money and don't supply anything other than a moment of entertainment.

I don't have any hobbies that I enjoy anymore.
I used to like lots of things.
No interest in anything, now.
I was never really 'obsessive' over hobbies, though. Possibly because I had so many of them that I could constantly switch around and do whatever I wanted when I wasn't at work, school or volunteering.

I hope you get to do airsoft again, mate.

I am losing interest in a lot of my hobbies, including drumming which I have done for over 10 years now. I don't want to lose that because drumming is about the only thing I'm good at.

Yes, life become easier without hobbies.................. because you have very little else to do besides (school)work and responsibilities. Life becomes kinda monotonous. But, as for my hobbies, I either read, write, or play video games. I would also like to get into martial arts, but I need the money to pay tuition and a car and a license::p:!

Better if I die~ Seriously, loss of enthusiasm has made my life was empty, if I lose all desire to do with my hobby, I'd rather die.
