All good points that I accept, could be correct. You could have also added the possibility that a recessive gene might induce the transcription mechanism of a completely different gene instead of the one that it was supposed to go for, and that this active new active gene will in some way or another increase height. This is all theoretical, though

That could also be a possibility.
