So wait, this is supposed to be based on how you feel regardless of what anyone else has said? I think that's impossible, really..... Whether people want to admit it or not, other people's opinions matter. We're social creatures and seek the approval of others, and we do base a lot of our self worth on others' opinions of us. Maybe not EVERYONE does, but I'd say most people do, whether they are aware of it or not.
That being said..... I would find it interesting to know how our own ratings compare to those of others. Say I rated myself a 10 (I didn't, just to make that clear :: ), and someone else rated me a 5. That would be an interesting insight into how I perceive myself vs. how others do. But then again, there are a lot of factors at play...
Okay, now I'm just rambling. Anyway.
I was going to say the same thing (about me). I KNOW I'm a 4 or 5 purely on physical traits (which is what I assume this thread is about), but if "attractiveness" includes personality and demeanor (which to me, it does), then I dare rate myself as high as a 7. Regardless, my average looks has never really been a hindrance in meeting mates or making friends, so I have no serious complaints.
but i kind of see it as a positive
i dont like superficial people and my looks serve as an instant repeller to them
lmao. I agree. Intelligence, a sense of humor, some measure of confidence, kindness, good manners/etiquette, a sense of responsibility and accountability, honesty, and drive are things that ramp up the attractiveness quotient in my book. A person could be a 10 physically, but if they're a whiny, lazy, conceited slob who lies about everything and blames everyone else for their probs, they're a 1 as far as I'm concerned.
I also find people who eat and drink like a cow or who talk loudly on their phones in public places to be pretty "ugly", regardless of what they look like. Good hygiene and grooming habits are also important. For example, I find people who don't brush their teeth before going to bed to be quite disgusting and unattractive.
....I have been getting glances lately from older women, I'm not sure what to think of it![]()
