Should ah feel guilty that I'm gan aboot ma business - no bothered about ma family's drama? Which doesn't really affect me as such. Like, does it make me an arse for being that way, since they frequently moan/vent to me or complain about me?

Huv'nae felt this cheery in awhile, either. Might actually be motivated enough to get back into producing and writing music again? 😀

My bf just recently broke up with me some days ago and I feel more anxious now than ever before. Lie isn't the same anymore. My anxiety and stress levels have gone up so much that I am losing lots of my hair 🙁 I feel like a walking zombie.

i meant ok sorry i thought when you used to be bored a lot that you still had to do something else and couldn't go to bed yet either

It's true that i used to be a lot more bored than i am now. Things have changed a bit with my lifestyle - i have more things to do, so i'm not as bored (& things to worry about!). I'll be moving to a another house (& flatting with sby) in the very near future, so i've been busy putting all my "stuff" into 2 storage units (i have a LOT of stuff - a lifetime's worth .. i keep many things), and looking for places to rent. But that has meant a LOT of worrying over the past several weeks - but it means i'm not as bored.

And don't worry, i still have many problems, but currently they are in "hibernation" - they'll come back, i'm sure. And the boredom will come back, but i'm going to fight it tooth'n'nail - not gonna let myself be THAT bored again .. i have PLANS that i will put intio place; i intend to have a different lifestyle, to get back into organization programs/etc, maybe to get back into healthy eating .. things like that. It's gonna be a "fresh start" for me, going flatting - a new beginning!

it's hurts me when i'm alone and i supported someone for their happy day but they didn't even say thank you and just leaves b/c they don't need me a lot anymore, what a friend!

Are you referring to sby on this forum? or sby in real life?

Aye, but I barely watch beyond half an hours worth.

Well I have good news, I have just started recently watching a hour and half or more a day of news. It was suppose a 5 minutes a day. But I haven't started listening to new music and only watch general news. I'm sure I miss a lot of news because I don't check news apps and other new sources.

Graeme1988 said: ↑
Yeah, I get where yer coming from there.

Somehow I'm not proud of my accomplishment yet.

Graeme1988 said: ↑
Genre wise... I'm mainly listen to electronic music. 70s stuff; Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream. Ambient stuff from the 90s. As well as more recent electronic stuff by more recent musicians but it's heavily inspired and influenced by 80s synth.

What is electronic, ambient, synth music?

I'd say about a couple streets away, even when I moved.

Where you use to live you lived a couple of streets away?

Graeme1988 said: ↑
Aye... it's a bit weird to explain. It's a regional thing.

Oh. How does it make you feel?

Graeme1988 said: ↑
Recently? Oh, too much family drama going on to even focus on music enough to do any productive. Either in a practise or writing sense. And, y'know... a lack of confidence in my guitar playing abilities, as well as self-doubt over my song writing capabilities.

I hope your family drama gets resolved quickly. I guess practice your guitar and song writing when you feel like it.

That's still more than me, I'm still stick to half an hour, at most. Or just checking the live feed of articles via the news app on my laptop.

Ambient would be something like this...
Brian Eno - Ambient 1: Music for Airports [Full Album] - YouTube
S1gns Of L1fe - Stratosphere - YouTube

The 80s synth music is stuff like...
Depeche Mode - New Life - YouTube
Toxxify - Cyborg Chase - YouTube

No, the school was slightly further away when I was living in the more rough part of town, but once I moved closer to the centre of town it was just a couple of streets way from my house. So, not as far away...

Slight annoyed when I get told I don't sound Scottish due my accent not sounding similar to The Simpsons character I use as my avatar here. 🤭

Quickly? No chance ! I'm the only one who resolves drama quickly cuz I'm the one who has to put with it all the time.

And I don't have time to waste asking "Why, why is this happening?", when I'd be able to answer that question myself.

That said, it'd be nice to get some peace n' quiet to be able practice my guitar and recording some music. Can't really do that when there's a lotta noise coming from downstairs.

I'm glad the weather is starting to warm up, enough at least that I should be able to run outside next week I hope. I could really use the fresh air and sunlight, being cooped up inside all winter has taken it's toll (again).

I've been cooped up in the house for the past week due to the snow here. My oldest sister surprised I'm not going crazy being stuck in the house.

Yet I'm Zen as f*ck...

I've given up both saturday and sunday this week to come into work when I'm scheduled to be off, which happens irregularly every week. If someone has a day off then they become a target 50% of the time. I've even worked 28 days in a month and double shifts in the past and I still can't make employers see my work ethic? Maybe that's not what employers want. Maybe I just don't want to admit that all of my migraines and sweat and studying were all done for the wrong degree. I even got rejected for a job in the medical field that requires a high school diploma.

I just want to get dirty, I want life all over me.

It's hard to put a name to this, whatever this is.
Mum's regular reminding me that i'm antisocial (eg 'don't disturb them', 'don't go in', 'let (neice) do her hair' (ie don't talk to her about it)). It keeps me having low self-confidence with people & feeling inferior due to being antisociable. Rather than teaching me how to treat people with subtlety, it just affirms negative traits in me & keeps me believing i have very limited subtle social skills, which everyone else around me has. I haven't even told a therapist about this behaviour by mum, maybe cause i've always thought that it's not a major issue, doesn't happen that often, and it's hard to put into words.
Can anyone relate to this?

Can anyone relate? Aye, me!. :kickingmyself: Sh!te innit? My family frequently pointed out my anxiety, or "antisocial tendencies" as they called 'em. :omg: So much so that ah prefer to keep to myself.

Are you still moving out to your own place Graeme?

jinxed said: ↑
i don't think so. she said her mother emotionally black-mailed her into not moving out or else she'd commit suicide

I take back what I said, ah think I will move oot. My older sister threatening to hurt her own kids as a means to get my mother to coming running this morning wus the last f*ckin' straw. Don't give a f*ck if my Mum drops dead the moment I pack my stuff, or when walk oot the front door for the last time, and ah mean that. Ah've f*ckin' hud enuff !! :kickingmyself:
