I don't mind capitalism in and of itself, I just hate the borrowing system and how it's engineered to keep people down. Take out a student loan, get a mortgage, finance a car, then drown in the payments and interest for the rest of your life. It's a horrible setup and deprives people of freedom and happiness. I avoid all that as much as possible.

capitalism is pretty crappy. At least, american capitalism is. "Freedom" is a pretty rotten concept, when the rich exploiters control the media and politicians.

Look at Romney in the current GOP polls - he's in the top 0,001% richest people and have killed 10.000s of jobs through his Bain company and wallstreet friends, but the large medias and their ignorant sheep followers still love that guy.

Well it's either Capitalism: Most people are poor except the bankers and the big corporations.

Or communism: Everyone is poor.

Or we all go live in the woods and destroy technology. Perhaps having monkey butlers bring us drinks in our tree houses.

not the only one

i usually just type in all lower case

Humanity i love you
because you would rather black the boots of
success than enquire whose soul dangles from his
watch-chain which would be embarrassing for both

parties and because you
unflinchingly applaud all
songs containing the words country home and
mother when sung at the old howard

Humanity i love you because
when you're hard up you pawn your
intelligence to buy a drink and when
you're flush pride keeps

you from the pawn shops and
because you are continually committing
nuisances but more
especially in your own house

Humanity i love you because you
are perpetually putting the secret of
life in your pants and forgetting
it's there and sitting down

on it
and because you are
forever making poems in the lap
of death Humanity

i hate you

I believe western governments need to move more to the middle. We're a bit too far down the capitalist side of things. To many people getting exploited by larger and larger companies and that small group of mega rich get richer while influencing more and more of policies of the governments. Either end of the scale is bad. far left and far right. The money supply pool needs to be spread out a bit more evenly again so people can start spending money again and get the economies going.

Did you know that in the 1940s and 1950s the tax rate on the mega rich was over 90% now it's around 30% and usualy the rich get the accountants to shuffle their expenditure around so that they actually pay a lot less then that. People are wondering why there is so much debt and lack of credit? Money supply is not balanced.

I hear you, money is always one of my big concerns. I try to save, but man it feels like another big bill just comes along to wipe everything out.

But in communism everybody has to go to work all the time otherwise you´d to to prison. Nobody can choose to live without going to work... not even for a while. Doesn´t it suck too?

I have leanings towards socialist society. Captalism is unfortunately better than any of the alternatives...communism tends to lead to a dictatorship. Its SUPPOSED to eliminate social class but it has never worked...and lets face it, its not exactly fair. Effort should be rewarded.

What I dont like though, is people who earn thousands of dollars per day through investment banking, or people who get paid ridiculously high salaries for the work they do. I am not against wealth... I am against one person having more money than an entire city. The 'haves' and the 'have nots' is not fair. I believe the rich have a moral obligation to help the poor. Because once you get stuck in the cycle of poverty it is very very difficult to get out of....and isnt it nice just to ease the suffering of others if you have the means too? I mean does anyone really need billions of dollars as their personal fortune?

I think the government have an obligation to look after its people wisely. Instead of spending money on trivial things like sporting events, new cars and funding their overseas trips and mini bar expenses, we should be pumping more money into basic universal healthcare, education, eliminating poverty and giving the people a living wage so that they can simply survive.

Capitalism is a scourge for poorer people, as there's no help for them. You have to be ruthless to get ahead and that is the death knell for someone like me. I believe, because of the faulty system, I will be struggling financially for the rest of my life.

Also I really hate that "debt" and "interest" were born out of capitalism - two inventions so fundamentally flawed it boggles the mind they were even introduced.

I love capitalism. It made Norway rich.

Edit: I think deep down, everyone wants the second phase of communism (the one completely devoid of greed and selfishness), but in reality, it's not possible to achieve. Having said that, true socialism (which is used in he first phase of communism) has never worked anywhere.

Capitalism has its terrible downsides and excesses, but in general I think it stimulates people to be creative and do something with their lives. Honestly, I think I would feel worse in a communist system. Don't think just because everyone's equal, that there won't be any nepotism and corruption, not to mention repression as proven time and time again. I love freedom, I love creativity and the freedom to express. Thinking everyone would just walk in line under the safe blanket of the all knowing government is a fantasy and depressing.

Do yourself a favor and stop blaming capitalism, etc. This system won't go away anytime soon. Focus on your own happiness.

It depends on which side you are, if you are rich more capitalisme is good, but if you like me cant work and probably will be poor in the future I will go more to the socialist side.

If I didnt had all these personal problems, like most dont have I would defenitly go for capatalism its stimulates the people.. I actually hate people who hate capatalisme,.. there is no better system .. while I do think school/hospitals need to be goverment operated or the bills go to high.

If you can't work here in Norway, the government gives you 25,000 dollars a year + money for certain living expenses (rent, electricity, water and so on).

Having said that, stuff in Norway is much more expensive than in the states.
